Nude For Satan
''Nude for Satan'' ( it, Nuda per Satana) is a 1974 Italian horror film directed by Luigi Batzella. Plot Late at night, Dr. Benson drives through the countryside and stumbles upon a car crash where he finds a wounded young woman named Susan. Dr. Benson gets Susan in his car and seeks shelter for the two in a nearby castle. He is greeted at the door by Evelyn, who looks exactly like Susan, and is invited to stay the night. Dr. Benson soon meets his own doppelgänger named Peter. When in the castle, Dr. Benson discovers that time and space do not follow ordinary logic in Satan's world. Style Film historian Roberto Curti described ''Nude for Satan'' as walking a thin edge between erotic horror and pornography as other films of the period did. Curti described the film as "tempted to jump to the other side of the fence but still retaining some prudish reservation". Luigi Batzella (San Sperate, 1924 – San Sperate, 2008) also known as Paolo Solvay was an Italian film director, editor, screenwriter and actor. He made numerous low-budget genre films. Life and career Luigi Batzella was born in San Sperate, Sardinia in 1924. After what film historian and critic Roberto Curti described as "a nondescript career as an actor," Batzella began his career as a director in 1966 with the war film '' Tre franchi die pietà''. After directing a few low budget westerns, Batzella directed his first horror film ''The Devil's Wedding Night'' which was directed with an uncredited Joe D'Amato. Life and career Calderoni was born in Rossiglione in the province of Liguria in 1951. As a young woman, wanting to become a dancer, she attended classical dance classes for five years in Genoa.
