''Now's the Time!'' is the nineteenth album released by Tony Christie. It was released in early 2011, on the Acid Jazz record label which had previously released recordings by Andy Bennett, Lord Large, and Geno Washington & the Ram Jam Band. It was released on both the LP and CD formats. Background After signing with the Acid Jazz label in 2010, Christie's single "Nobody In The World" bw "Seven Hills " was released that year. The single was a Northern Soul styled single. According to the Acid Jazz label, it was his first mod single since Shel Talmy produced him in 1966. An article in ''Scootering'' mentioned the single's inclusion the proposed 2011 Acid Jazz album release. It was announced that the Northern Soul inspired album was to be released in January 2011. Tony Christie
Anthony Fitzgerald (born 25 April 1943), known professionally as Tony Christie, is an English musician, singer and actor. He is best known for his recording of " (Is This the Way To) Amarillo", a double UK chart success. Career 1960s to 1970s Discovered and managed by Harvey Lisberg, he had three hits in 1971, beginning with " Las Vegas" which reached number 21 in the UK, and went on to have two Top Twenty hits in the UK Singles Chart with " I Did What I Did for Maria", which reached number two, and " Is This the Way to Amarillo", which peaked at number 18, all in 1971. Subsequently, he had a minor hit with " Avenues and Alleyways" which reached number 37, and was the theme to the television series '' The Protectors''. Róisín Marie Murphy ( , ; born 5 July 1973) is an Irish singer, songwriter, and record producer. Jarvis Cocker
Jarvis Branson Cocker (born 19 September 1963) is an English musician and radio presenter. As the founder, frontman, lyricist and only consistent member of the band Pulp, he became a figurehead of the Britpop genre of the mid-1990s. All Seeing I
The All Seeing I were a British electronic music group from Sheffield, England, comprising Dean Honer, Jason Buckle and DJ Parrot (real name Richard Barratt). Biography The band released their first single "I Walk" in 1997, but it was not until the year after that they gained mainstream commercial success with the song " Beat Goes On", a remixed cover of the Sonny Bono song, using the vocals from Buddy Rich's version, which were sung by his daughter Cathy. Their works were something of a Sheffield collective, and the trio worked with artists from the city including Tony Christie, Jarvis Cocker, Philip Oakey, Babybird and many others. Their regular live vocalist was Bozz, who later went on to form electronica duo Hiem.
