Novi Grad (Serbian Cyrillic: ), formerly Bosanski Novi ( sr-cyrl, Босански Нови), is a town and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Administratively, it is located in the Republika Srpska entity. Novi Grad ( sr-cyrl, Нови Град, ; lit. "New Town") is a municipality of the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the westernmost of the four municipalities that make up the city of Sarajevo. The municipality also consists of the villages Bojnik and Rečica. History During the 1970s, Sarajevo was undergoing a rapid economic and cultural development, with great expansion focused on population and industry. Novi Grad was a direct result of this period of heavy growth, in which many acres of previously unused land were transformed into socialist urban centres filled with apartment buildings. Novi Grad ( sr, Нови Град) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun. Location Novi Grad is located in the central-west section of the urban Zemun. It stretches along the starting section of the new Belgrade-Novi Sad highway, from the Belgrade-Novi Sad railway on the south, where it borders the neighborhood of Kolonija Zmaj to the ''Ugrinovačka'' street on the north, where it borders the neighborhood of Zemun Bačka.
