Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Basketball
The NSU Sharks Men's Basketball team represents Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. They currently compete in the Sunshine State Conference. History The 2007–08 Nova Southeastern University men’s basketball team posted a 10–18 overall record and a 5–11 Sunshine State Conference mark, but the short-handed Sharks played with heart and battled despite being saddled with multiple injuries. The Sharks, who played the entire season without forwards Dionte Perry and David Naylor due to injury, were also without the services of Kevin Chester, Josh Wood, Ross Allsop and Lemar Dyer for games throughout the season. NSU played a top notch non-conference schedule even though they play in the highly competitive SSC. The Sharks squared off against five NCAA Tournament teams, including South Region Tournament host and SSC Champion Florida Southern three times. Sunshine State Conference
The Sunshine State Conference is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. All of its member institutions are located in the state of Florida, which is popularly known as the Sunshine State. The conference was originally formed in 1975 as a men's basketball conference. It has since expanded to sponsor championships in 18 sports, including men's and women's basketball, baseball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, women's rowing, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, women's volleyball. Tim Coenraad
Tim Coenraad (born 5 June 1985) is an Australian former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Nova Southeastern Sharks before playing 14 seasons in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Illawarra Hawks. He helped the Hawks reach grand finals in 2010 and 2017 and won Club MVP in 2015. Early life and career Coenraad was born in Brisbane, Queensland. In 2004 and 2005, Coenraad played in the Queensland Basketball League (QBL) for the Southern Districts Spartans. He was named QBL Youth Player of the Year and All-League Team in 2004. 2019 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2019 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament is the 63rd annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. Featuring sixty-four teams, it began on March 16, and concluded with the championship game on March 30. The eight regional winners met in the Elite Eight for the quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship rounds. The Elite Eight was held at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. The 2020 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament was to be the annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. With a field of sixty-four teams, it was supposed to begin on March 16 and conclude with the championship game on April 5. As with the prior year's format, the eight regional winners would have met in the Elite Eight for the quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship rounds. The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds were scheduled to take place again at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, while the championship final was due to take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia so as to coincide with the Division I Final Four.
