Not Your Kind Of People Tour
The Not Your Kind of People Tour is the fifth world concert tour cycle by American/Scottish alternative rock group Garbage (band), Garbage. The tour launched May 2012 in Los Angeles, United States and included headline performances and festival appearances throughout North America, Europe and Asia. The tour also routed South America and several festivals in Australia during 2013. The tour marks the first Garbage concerts since 2007; and the first tour since the Bleed Like Me tour was ended in October 2005. "Thinking about going back on the road is both thrilling and terrifying in equal measure", lead singer Shirley Manson stated in a press release for the launch of the album and tour; "…but we’ve always enjoyed a little pain mixed in with our pleasure." Eric Avery
Eric Adam Avery (born April 25, 1965) is an American musician. He is best known as the founding bass guitarist and co-songwriter of the alternative rock band Jane's Addiction, with whom he has recorded two studio albums. He is also currently the touring and recording bassist for Garbage, which he joined in 2005 as a sideman, and with whom he has recorded three studio albums. A core member of Jane's Addiction during its initial lifespan, Avery co-founded the band in 1985 with frontman Perry Farrell, and recorded two studio albums, ''Nothing's Shocking'' (1988) and ''Ritual de lo Habitual'' (1990), before the band's acrimonious break-up in 1991. Following Jane's Addiction's dissolution, Avery and guitarist Dave Navarro formed Deconstruction with drummer Michael Murphy, releasing one studio album in 1994. "Temptation Waits" is a 1999 song performed by the band Garbage and is featured in their second studio album '' Version 2.0'' as the opening song. Superbus (band)
Superbus is a five-piece French pop rock band formed in 1999 with Jenn Ayache on lead vocals. The band's name is from the Latin word ''superbus'', meaning ''proud'', which Ayache stumbled upon while browsing through a Latin dictionary. The band has released five studio albums to date and a compilation album. Beginnings After a trip to the United States to perfect her English in 1999, Jennifer Ayache looked for musicians to form a group. Saiko is a Chilean synth-pop and pop rock band established in the late 1990s. Throughout their career they have achieved great notoriety in the musical Chilean scene, largely due to the charisma, image and voice of their vocalist, Denisse Malebrán, and the musical talent and experience of Rodrigo "Coti" Aboitiz and Luciano Rojas, both former members and founders of the Chilean group La Ley (band), La Ley. Screaming Females
Screaming Females is an American rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey comprising Marissa Paternoster on guitar and vocals, Jarrett Dougherty on drums, and Mike Abbate on bass. They released their debut album ''Baby Teeth'' in 2006. The band have been featured on NPR, Last Call with Carson Daly, and MTV. They have played with bands such as Garbage, Throwing Muses, Dinosaur Jr., The Dead Weather, Arctic Monkeys, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists and The Breeders. History Formation Paternoster and Abbate formed a band in high school under the name Surgery On TV. The Jezabels are an Australian indie rock band formed in Sydney in 2007. Douglas Elwin "Duke" Erikson (born January 15, 1951) is an American musician, songwriter, screenwriter, film producer and record producer, best known as a co-founder and guitarist of the alternative rock band Garbage. Garbage has sold more than 17 million albums worldwide. Early life Duke Erikson was born in Lyons, a small rural community in Nebraska. His first musical instrument was the piano, and his second was the guitar. At the age of 16 he joined his first band, The British, which was inspired by his passion for the British beat movement.
