''Not Without My Ghosts'' is the eighth studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The album was released on 12 May 2023 through Pure Noise Records and was self-produced by the band. At the 2023 ARIA Music Awards, the album was nominated for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album. The album was nominated for Best Record at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards. Background and promotion On 29 November 2022, the Amity Affliction released unveiled the first single "Show Me Your God" and its corresponding music video. On 23 December, the band have chosen and confirmed the album title for the new record. On 13 February 2023, the band published the second single "I See Dead People" featuring Louie Knuxx along with an accompanying music video. The Amity Affliction
The Amity Affliction is an Australian metalcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003. The band's current line-up consists of Ahren Stringer (bass, clean vocals), Joel Birch (lead vocals), Dan Brown (guitar) and Joe Longobardi (drums). They have released seven studio albums including ''Severed Ties'' (2008), '' Youngbloods'' (2010), '' Chasing Ghosts'' (2012), '' Let the Ocean Take Me'' (2014), ''This Could Be Heartbreak'' (2016) and '' Misery'' (2018), the latter four debuting at number one on the ARIA charts. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Landon Khale Tewers (born September 27, 1989) is an American musician and producer. He is a former band member of Before Their Eyes, where he was the rhythm guitarist and unclean vocalist. In music, a breakdown is part of a song in which various instruments have solo parts (breaks). This may take the form of all instruments playing the verse together, and then several or all instruments individually repeating the verse as solo parts.
