Nostalgia
Nostalgia is a sentimentality for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. The word ''nostalgia'' is a learned formation of a Greek language, Greek compound, consisting of (''nóstos''), meaning "homecoming", a Homeric word, and (''álgos''), meaning "sorrow" or "despair", and was coined by a 17th-century medical student to describe the anxieties displayed by Swiss mercenaries fighting away from home. Described as a medical condition—a form of Depression (mood), melancholy—in the Early Modern period, it became an important Trope (literature), trope in Romanticism. Nostalgia is associated with a longing for the past, its personalities, possibilities, and events, especially the "Good old days, good ol' days" or a "warm childhood". There is a predisposition, caused by cognitive biases such as rosy retrospection, for people to view the past more favourably and future more negatively. When applied to one's beliefs about a society or institutio ...

Obscura (album)
''Obscura'' is the third full-length album by Canadian death metal band Gorguts. The album was released on June 23, 1998 through the now-defunct Olympic Recordings, but has since been reissued by a number of labels, in particular Century Media in 2015. Since its release, ''Obscura'' has come to be regarded as one of the most important albums in the technical death metal genre, and as "one of the most complex and technical records in the genre, due to its unprecedented dissonance and experimentation brought by the band's late guitarist Steeve Hurdle." Lyrically, the album represents a further departure from the band's established approach, touching on spiritual and existential themes. Luc Lemay has described the album as "the record that defined our sound." History Following the release in 1993 of their second full-length ''The Erosion of Sanity,'' the band took part in a European tour with Blasphemy. The band's return coincided with the decline of death metal's popularity, a ...

Background & production In an interview with ''Cymbiosis'', Yanni said that he often spent 12–15 hours a day producing the album. Yanni also stated that his favorite part about producing the album was to activate "up to six or seven lavekeyboards" and that "the most simple sounds on ''Keys to Imagination'' are made with at least two or three keyboards." Critical reception In a review by Backroads Music/Heartbeats, "Yanni's first Private Music release is a true masterpiece of dramatic synthesizer music. His music is lusty and brilliant, richly melodious and memorable, full of passion & life as befits his Greek heritage. One of the ultimate car-stereo albums, Yanni's flamboyant, superb style of compositions makes ''Keys to Imagination'' some of the most extravagant, hyperspace music we know." Mark Jacobs of ''Cymbiosis'', praised the album, writ ...

The "buzz" is the excitement of playing on stage; "cock" is northern English slang meaning "friend".
