Norwich City F.C. Under-23s And Academy
Norwich City Under-21s and Academy is the youth organisation run by Norwich City F.C. The team is made up of under-21 and academy players and is effectively Norwich City's second-string side. The under-18 players among other younger age groups make up the academy team. In March 2018, Norwich City F.C. announced a public mini-bond investment scheme, through sports investment platform Tifosy, with the aim of raising £3,500,000 towards developing new academy facilities. Funds from more than 700 fans and investors exceeded the £3,500,000 target and reached the £5,000,000 limit through a five-year bond scheme, called the Canaries bond, and sold out before it could be made publicly available. With the money, the club has already installed new pitches at its Category 1 Academy, as well as a new irrigation system, cameras for analysis and floodlights. Alan Neilson
Alan Neilson (born 26 September 1972) is a Welsh former professional footballer who currently works as a Professional Development Coach for Norwich City. He played his entire career in England as a defender from 1991 until 2007, notably in the Premier League for Newcastle United and Southampton. He also played for Fulham, Grimsby Town, Luton Town, Tamworth and Salisbury City. He later re-joined Luton Town in 2008 as a youth coach, before becoming assistant manager and having three spells as the club's caretaker manager. FA Youth Cup
The Football Association Youth Challenge Cup is an English football competition run by The Football Association for under-18 sides. Only those players between the age of 15 and 18 on 31 August of the current season are eligible to take part. It is dominated by the youth sides of professional teams, mostly from the Premier League, but attracts over 400 entrants from throughout the country. At the end of the Second World War the FA organised a Youth Championship for County Associations considering it the best way to stimulate the game among those youngsters not yet old enough to play senior football. The matches did not attract large crowds but outstanding players were selected for Youth Internationals and thousands were given the chance to play in a national contest for the first time. Thomas Oluseun Adeyemi (born 24 October 1991) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Adeyemi started his professional career at Championship club Norwich City in 2008, having progressed through the club's youth ranks, and made his professional debut for the club in 2009. Daniel James Barden (born 2 January 2001) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Norwich City. Club career Barden signed for Norwich City from Arsenal in January 2019. Korey Alexander Sheridan Smith (born 31 January 1991) is an English professional association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL League One club Derby County F.C., Derby County. Jacob Kai Murphy (born 24 February 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Newcastle United.
