The Norway national futsal team is controlled by the Football Association of Norway, the governing body for futsal in Norway and represents the country in international futsal competitions, such as the World Cup and the European Championships. Football Association Of Norway
The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The NFF joined FIFA in 1908, and UEFA in 1954. The NFF was part of an unsuccessful joint bid with the SvFF, the DBU and the SPL to host the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. The SvFF invited the NFF to join them in bidding for the UEFA Euro 2016 championship. The NFF and Norwegian politicians expressed support for such a proposal, but Euro 2016 was eventually awarded to France. The 1992 FIFA Futsal World Championship was the second FIFA Futsal World Championship, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It was held between 15 and 28 November 1992 in Hong Kong. It was the first FIFA tournament held in the country. Brazil won the tournament for the second consecutive time. 2007 UEFA Futsal Championship
The 2007 UEFA Futsal Championship was the sixth official edition of the UEFA-governed European Championship for national futsal teams. It was held in Portugal, between November 16 and November 25, 2007, in two venues located in Porto's Greater Metropolitan Area — Gondomar and Santo Tirso municipalities. Eight teams competed in the final round, after a qualifying phase where seven teams managed to join the Portuguese hosts. Spain, the 2000 FIFA Futsal World Championship and 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship winners, successfully defended their European crown and added a fourth continental title to their record, by defeating Italy 3-1, in a reprise of the last FIFA Futsal World Championship final. 2005 UEFA Futsal Championship
The 2005 UEFA Futsal Championship was the fifth official edition of the UEFA-governed European Championship for national futsal teams. It was held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, between 14 February and 20 February 2005. Spain, the reigning FIFA World Champion, defeated Russia in the final, winning their third (with 1996 and 2001) UEFA Championship. The third place match was a repeat of the 2003 final, with Italy again defeating Ukraine, this time 3–1. Fernando Grana's opener in the third place match helped him finish as top scorer in the tournament with six goals. Venues The tournament played the majority of the matches in the 10,000 seat ČEZ Aréna in the city of Ostrava. The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Lithuania. It marked the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Lithuania and the third Futsal World Cup hosted in Europe; the others being 1989 in the Netherlands and 1996 in Spain. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from 12 September to 4 October 2020 as the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup. The 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the eighth FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the seventh FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
