Northern Electric Railway—Marysville And Colusa Branch
The Northern Electric Railway—Marysville and Colusa Branch was incorporated on June 6, 1910, to construct a branch from a junction with Northern Electric's mainline near Yuba City (Colusa Junction) then west for 22.39 miles to Colusa. The construction of the branch commenced in December 1911 and was completed on June 16, 1913. The Northern Electric Railway–Marysville and Colusa Branch operated under lease to the Northern Electric Railway. The Northern Electric Railway was an interurban line. On June 30, 1918, the Northern Electric Railway was sold to the Sacramento Northern Railroad, which would later become the Sacramento Northern Railway. Marysville is a city and the county seat of Yuba County, California, located in the Gold Country region of Northern California. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 12,072, reflecting a decrease of 196 from the 12,268 counted in the 2000 Census. It is part of the Yuba-Sutter area of Greater Sacramento. Dixon Branch
The Dixon Branch was an interurban rail line of the Sacramento Northern Railway system, to Dixon in Solano County, California. It ran for twelve miles from a point on the main line known as Olcott (or Dixon Junction), that was located in Solano County between Sacramento and Rio Vista Junction. The line was built as the Sacramento Valley West Side Electric Railway (SVWSER) in 1914 and commenced operation on January 1, 1915. It was originally intended by its planner, Melville Dozier, to be operated as Vallejo and Northern and would run up the west side of the Sacramento Vallejo from Dixon Junction, through Dixon and then continue north to Woodland and terminate in Marysville. Colusa, California
Colusa is a city and county seat of Colusa County, California, located in the Sacramento Valley region of the Central Valley. The population was 5,971 at the 2010 census, up from 5,402 at the 2000 census.
