North Macedonia's national under-17 football team is the national under-17 football team of the Republic of North Macedonia and is controlled by the Football Federation of North Macedonia. The current manager is Dragi Kanatlarovski. For only players born 1 January 2004 or later are permitted to partake. The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM; mk, Фудбалска Федерација на Македонија, ФФМ; sq, Federata e Futbollit të Maqedonisë) or Football Federation of North Macedonia is the governing body of football in North Macedonia based in Skopje. History FFM was officially formed after the establishment of then SR Macedonia as part of SFR Yugoslavia, following World War II on 14 August 1949 in Skopje (after the end of World War II, the first football department was established as a part of the sport association of the city of Skopje, the football section was separated on 16 August 1948). The 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship, was the tenth edition of FIFA U-17 World Championship. It was held in the cities of Helsinki, Tampere, Lahti and Turku in Finland between 13 and 30 August 2003. Players born after 1 January 1986 could participate in this tournament. Some controversy followed the tournament after a number of players from the Sierra Leone squad defected to Finland. The 2003 UEFA European Under-17 Championship was the second edition of UEFA's UEFA European Under-17 Championship. Portugal hosted the championship, during 7–17 May. The format of the competition changed, and only 8 teams entered the competition. Host Portugal defeated Spain in the final to win the competition for the fifth time. The 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It will be held in Peru from 10 November to 2 December 2023. The FIFA U-17 World Cup returns after four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic forced FIFA to cancel the tournament in 2021. The 2021 FIFA U-17 World Cup would have been the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
