North Alabama Lions Football
The North Alabama Lions football program represents the University of North Alabama (UNA) in college football as the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level as a member of the ASUN Conference. UNA plays its home games at Braly Municipal Stadium in Florence, Alabama. The team's head coach is Brent Dearmon. UNA was an NCAA Division II from member from 1972 to 2017. The Lions are distinguished as the only team to win three consecutive football national championships in NCAA Division II. UNA's 27 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the Division II polls also comprise the longest stretch of consecutive No. 1 rankings in football in NCAA history on any level. Brent Dearmon
Brent Dearmon (born December 19, 1984) is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at the University of North Alabama. He was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Kansas, Middle Tennessee State University, and Florida Atlantic University. Dearmon was also the head coach at Bethel University in Tennessee, where he won a Mid-South Conference championship in his lone season there. He also played college football at Bethel, where he set career and single-season records in passing yards and touchdowns. Dearmon spent time playing professionally for indoor football teams before getting into coaching. McAllen, Texas
McAllen is the largest city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States, and the 22nd-most populous city in Texas. Harlon Hill
Harlon Junius Hill (May 4, 1932 March 21, 2013) was an American professional football player who was an end for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Hill played for the Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Detroit Lions. He was the NFL Rookie of the Year in 1954 and winner of the Jim Thorpe Trophy as the NFL Player of the Year in 1955. The University of West Alabama (UWA) is a public university in Livingston, Alabama. Founded in 1835, the school began as a church-supported school for young women called Livingston Female Academy. Ryan Held (born November 23, 1974) is an American football coach who is the head football coach at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Terry Wilson Bowden (; born February 24, 1956) is an American college football coach, currently the head coach at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Bowden was previously head coach at Salem University (1983–1985), Samford University (1987–1992), Auburn University (1993–1998), the University of North Alabama (2009–2011), and the University of Akron (2012–2018).
