Norbert Werner
Norbert Werner (born in Laxenburg,Gustav Chalupa: ''Krieg und Medien auf dem Balkan.'' Fischer, 2006, . p. 63. died on 28 June 1991 in Brnik) was an Austrian free-lance journalist and war correspondent.Stjepan Malović: ''The People, Press, and Politics of Croatia.'' Werner died at the age of 23 together with Nikolas Vogel at Ljubljana Airport on 28 June 1991, by a missile attack by the Yugoslav People's Army on their car. Laxenburg
__NOTOC__ Laxenburg (Central Bavarian: ''Laxnbuag'') is a market town in the district of Mödling, in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. Located about south of the Austrian capital Vienna, it is chiefly known for the Laxenburg castles, which, beside Schönbrunn, served as the most important summer retreat of the Habsburg monarchs. Zgornji Brnik (; in older sources also ''Zgornji Bernik'',''Leksikon občin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 6: ''Kranjsko''. 1906. Vienna: C. Kr. Nikolas Vogel
Nikolas Vogel (9 March 1967 – 28 June 1991) was an Austrian-German film actor and news camera operator. Nikolas Vogel belonged to a family of famous actors and he also became an actor. Vogel left the acting profession to report the news and worked for a short time as journalist before he was killed in the Ten-Day War as Yugoslavia was dividing in the aftermath of Marshall Josip Broz Tito's death. Vogel was killed in a missile incident along with his Austrian colleague Norbert Werner. Personal Nikolas Vogel was born on 9 March 1967 in Vienna, Austria. He was born into an acting family. His mother, Gertraud Jesserer, was a well known Austrian theater, cinema and television actress. She appeared in theater performances at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Burgtheater in Vienna, and the Munich Kammerspiele among others. Ljubljana Airport
Ljubljana (also known by other historical names) is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. It is the country's cultural, educational, economic, political and administrative center. Slovenian Independence War
The Ten-Day War ( sl, desetdnevna vojna), or the Slovenian War of Independence (), was a brief armed conflict that followed Slovenia's declaration of independence from Yugoslavia on 25 June 1991. It was fought between the separatists of the Slovenian Territorial Defence and the Yugoslav People's Army (or JNA). It lasted from 27 June 1991 until 7 July 1991, when the Brioni Accords were signed. It was the second of the Yugoslav wars to start in 1991, following the Croatian War of Independence, and by far the shortest of the conflicts with fewest overall casualties. Janez Janša
Ivan Janša (; born 17 September 1958), baptized and best known as Janez Janša (), is a Slovenian politician who served three times as a prime minister of Slovenia, a position he had held from 2004 to 2008, from 2012 to 2013, and from 2020 to 2022. Since 1993, Janša has led the Slovenian Democratic Party, which has emerged as the pre-eminent Slovenian conservative party. Janša lost his fourth bid for prime minister in April 2022, his party defeated by the Freedom Movement party. The Schengen Agreement ( , ) is a treaty which led to the creation of Europe's Schengen Area, in which internal border checks have largely been abolished. It was signed on 14 June 1985, near the town of Schengen, Luxembourg, by five of the ten member states of the then European Economic Community.
