Nora's Will
''Nora's Will'' ( es, Cinco días sin Nora, also released as ''Five Days Without Nora'') is a 2008 Mexican drama film written and directed by Mariana Chenillo. It was entered into the 31st Moscow International Film Festival. Plot Nora commits suicide in a timely way consistent with her plan to bring her ex-husband, José (Luján), and the rest of their family together for a Passover together. A photograph from the past, hidden under the bed, leads Jose to reexamine their relationship. This story begins when José finds out that Nora, the woman he'd been married to for 30 years and then divorced, has committed suicide. Mariana Chenillo
Mariana Chenillo (born 29 April 1977 in Mexico City) is a Mexican film director and screenwriter, known for ''Nora's Will'' (2008), ''Paradise (2013 Mexican film), Paradise'' (2013) and ''Revolución (film), Revolución'' (2010). Chenillo is the first female filmmaker to have directed a Best Picture-winning film at Mexico's Ariel awards with ''Nora's Will'', a comedy about the five days following Nora's suicide which she'd planned to bring her family back together. Her film ''Paradise'' showed what happens when an overweight couple moves from the middle-class suburban area of Naucalpan to Mexico City.
