Petru Popescu (born February 1, 1944 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian-American writer, director and film producer, author of best-selling novels ''Almost Adam'' and ''Amazon Beaming''. Romanian beginnings The son of theater critic Radu Popescu and actress Nelly Cutava, he graduated from the , after which he studied English language and literature at the University of Bucharest. His debut was a collection of poems, ''Zeu printre blocuri'' ("A God Between Apartment Buildings"). In 1969, he published ''Prins'' ("Caught"). Franco Di Giacomo (18 September 1932 – 30 April 2016) was an Italian cinematographer. Born in Amatrice (Rieti), he won the 1983 David di Donatello for David di Donatello for Best Cinematography, Best Cinematography for Paolo and Vittorio Taviani's ''The Night of the Shooting Stars''. Leon Lissek
Leon Lissek (19 January 1939 – 13 January 2022) was an Australian-born British actor. He appeared in over 80 films in his career, which started with ''Marat/Sade''. Lissek was well known for his television roles in ''The Sullivans'' and ''EastEnders'', and his film roles in ''Time Bandits'', ''The Unbearable Lightness of Being'', ''Nicholas and Alexandra'', and '' The Horsemen''. Lissek was born in Australia on 19 January 1939. He started acting at the Kadimah in Melbourne, through his school-days and during his university year (he gave up the law course at Melbourne University about half-way through), when he was part of the Marlowe Society in late 1950s. Katrin Juliet Cartlidge (15 May 1961 – 7 September 2002) was an English actress. She first appeared on screen as Lucy Collins in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Brookside'' (1982–1983), before going on to win the 1997 Evening Standard Film Award for Best Actress for the Mike Leigh film ''Career Girls''. Allan Corduner (; born 2 April 1950) is a British actor. Born in Stockholm to a German mother and a Russo-Finnish father, Corduner grew up in a secular Jewish home in London. After earning a BA (Hons) in English and Drama at Bristol University he trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He has worked extensively on stage, TV, and film, both in the UK and in the United States. His voice is familiar from many BBC radio plays, audio books and TV documentaries. David Wheatley (director)
David Rogerson Wheatley (20 December 1949 – 5 April 2009) was a British film and television director. His Royal College of Art graduation film was on the Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte, after his tutor Gavin Millar showed him a book on the artist. The film was screened as part of the BBC's arts' programmes '' Omnibus'' in 1979. From that year, he contributed films to the ''Omnibus'' and ''Arena'' series, before branching out into other areas in the mid 1980s. He directed ''The Magic Toyshop'' (1987), a fantasy film based on the Angela Carter novel, which Carter adapted herself, and several social dramas set in the north of England.
