Noble's Promise
Noble's Promise (April 13, 2007 – August 6, 2018) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 2009 Breeders' Futurity Stakes. Background Foaled in Kentucky, Noble's Promise was a bay horse with two white socks and a blaze. He was bred by Charles Kidder (D.V.M.) and his son Ben in a partnership with Dr. Nancy Cole (D.V.M.). He was sired by then-Gainesway Farm stallion Cuvee, who was a three-time graded stakes winner at age 2. Cuvee was sired by Carson City, a son of Mr. Prospector.. He is out of the Clever Trick mare, The Devil's Trick. Noble's Promise was purchased as a weanling for $10,000 at the 2007 yearling Keeneland Sales. Vale of York (foaled 4 April 2007 in Ireland is a Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 2009 Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Bred by Stock Vale Ltd., Vale of York's sire, Invincible Spirit, was a sprinter, securing all seven of his victories over 6 furlongs, including the Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup in 2001 at Haydock Park Racecourse. Vale of York's dam, Red Vale, did not race, but she is a half-sister to Uraib, who stayed 1 mile, 1 furlong well in Graded company in California. She has produced two foals to race to date. By the end of 2009, Vale of York had won three of his six starts. Super Saver (foaled March 18, 2007) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won the 2010 Kentucky Derby. Pedigree Super Saver's ancestors include damsire A.P. Indy, winner of the 1992 Belmont Stakes, 1957 Preakness Stakes winner Bold Ruler, 1964 Kentucky Derby winner Northern Dancer, and Triple Crown winners Secretariat (1973) and Seattle Slew (1977). He is also descended from superstud Mr. Prospector, whose descendants have won numerous Triple Crown races. His sire Maria's Mon, was also the sire of 2001 Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos, and his dam Supercharger is a full sister to the dam of Bluegrass Cat. Ice Box (foaled 2007 in Kentucky) is a retired Thoroughbred racehorse. He is owned by Robert V. LaPenta, and trained by Nick Zito. Sired by Pulpit out of Spice Island, he is descended from A.P. Indy, Tabasco Cat, Mr. Prospector, Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Alydar, and is kin to 2009 Triple Crown race winners Mine That Bird and Summer Bird. Paddy O'Prado
Paddy O'Prado (February 15, 2007 – October 22, 2018) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse. Bred by Winchell Thoroughbreds, he finished third in the 2010 Kentucky Derby. His regular jockey was Kent Desormeaux. Racing career Paddy O'Prado was foaled in Kentucky. He broke his maiden at Gulfstream Park on March 6, 2010, in the Grade 3 $150,000 Palm Beach Stakes. He went on to finish second in the Blue Grass Stakes behind winner Stately Victor, finishing in front of First Dude, Interactif, Make Music For Me and Odysseus. Following his runner up performance in the Blue Grass, he raced in the 2010 Kentucky Derby and finished third behind Super Saver and Ice Box. In the Preakness, he was sixth. The 2010 Kentucky Derby was the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby. The race took place on May 1, 2010, and was televised in the United States on the NBC television network. Arkansas Derby
The Arkansas Derby is an American flat Thoroughbred horse race for three-year-olds held annually in April at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is currently a Grade I race run over a distance of 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs) on dirt. In 2004, to celebrate its 100th anniversary, Oaklawn Park offered a $5 million bonus to any horse that could sweep its three-year-old graded stakes, the Rebel Stakes and the Arkansas Derby, and then take the Kentucky Derby. Smarty Jones's collected the bonus. The exposure from Smarty Jones subsequent run at the Triple Crown helped increase participation from the top three-year-olds in the country to the point where the American Graded Stakes Committee made the Arkansas Derby a Grade I race in 2010. Smarty Jones (February 28, 2001) is a champion Thoroughbred racehorse who won the 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes and came second in the Belmont Stakes. The Rebel Stakes is a Grade II American Thoroughbred horse race for three-year-old horses at a distance of one and one-sixteenth miles on the dirt run annually in March, at Oaklawn Park Race Track in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
