No Regrets (Dope Album)
''No Regrets'' is the fifth studio album by American nu metal band Dope. The album was released on March 10, 2009. The album debuted at number 88 with 6,200 copies sold in its first week, making it the second highest-charted album in the band's history, even though '' American Apathy'' sold nearly 3,000 more copies during its first week of release. It remained Dope's highest charting album until '' Blood Money Part 1'' peaked at number 27 in 2016. Dope is an American nu metal band from New York City, formed in 1997. The band has released six full-length studio albums with their most recent studio album, '' Blood Money Part 1'', being released in 2016. The lineup currently consists of founding member and lead singer Edsel Dope, guitarist Virus, bassist Acey Slade and drummer Daniel Fox. History Early days (1997–1998) The band was founded in 1997 by songwriter and lead vocalist Edsel Dope. As a child, Edsel and his brother Simon Dope were separated when their parents divorced. When the two were adults, they reunited and Simon joined Edsel's band, playing keyboards, samples and percussion. The pair then recruited Sloane Jentry as guitarist, Preston Nash as drummer, and Tripp Eisen as bassist. Ted Jensen
Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop. Ted has one brother, Rick, and two daughters, Kristen and Kim. While attending High School, Jensen was building his own stereo and recording equipment and began recording local bands both in the studio and at live events. Derrick Tribbett (born December 18, 1984), better known by his stage names Tripp Lee and Sinister, is an American musician and songwriter who is the lead vocalist of Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Twisted Method. He is the younger brother of Audiotopsy (band), Audiotopsy and Mudvayne lead guitarist Greg Tribbett. He is also known for his role on the reality show ''Daisy of Love'' starring former ''Rock of Love 2'' contestant Daisy De La Hoya. Andre Michel Karkos (born June 27, 1969), known professionally as Virus, is an American musician most recognized for playing lead guitar for the industrial metal/rock band Dope. He is also known for his work with metal band Device. Career Growing up in Rochester, New York, Karkos started playing violin at the age of nine, but began to teach himself guitar when he discovered heavy metal at the age of 13. When he was 17, Karkos dropped out of his junior year of high school to teach guitar at the world-renowned House of Guitars and was already playing clubs throughout upstate New York with his alternative rock band One, of which his younger brother Daniel Karkos was also a member.
