Biohazard (band)
Biohazard is an American hardcore band formed in Brooklyn, New York City, in 1987. They are one of the earliest bands to fuse hardcore punk and heavy metal with elements of hip hop. The original lineup consisted of bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist Bobby Hambel, and drummer Anthony Meo. Guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei joined soon after, and drummer Danny Schuler replaced Meo before the recording of their first album, thus solidifying the band's lineup from 1988 to 1995. After several lineup changes, a breakup, a 2008 reunion, and a seven-year period of inactivity, the classic lineup of Seinfeld, Graziadei, Hambel, and Schuler reunited in 2022 and announced upcoming performances in 2023. Helmet (band)
Helmet is an American alternative metal band from New York City formed in 1989 by vocalist and lead guitarist Page Hamilton. Helmet has had numerous lineup changes with Hamilton as the only constant member. Since 2010, the band has consisted of Hamilton, drummer Kyle Stevenson, guitarist Dan Beeman and bassist Dave Case. Helmet has released eight studio albums and two compilation albums. After releasing their debut album, '' Strap It On'' (1990), on Amphetamine Reptile, Helmet signed to Interscope Records and released three albums for the label, including the highly successful '' Meantime'' (1992). Their next two albums ― ''Betty'' (1994) and ''Aftertaste'' (1997) ― were also successful, but did not match the critical or popular acclaim of ''Meantime''. William Graziadei (born July 28, 1969) is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and founding member of Biohazard. He is also the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist of the band Powerflo and frontman for BillyBio, his latest solo project. In addition, he is the former rhythm guitarist for Suicide City. Graziadei also performed as part of the Roadrunner United project in 2005 as well as Blood for Blood in 2010. Additionally, through his music, Graziadei frequently speaks about the realities of inner city life in New York City, while promoting tolerance, speaking out against racism and opposing drug abuse. Rob Echeverria (born 15 December 1967) is an American guitarist who has worked as the guitarist of Biohazard (band), Biohazard, Helmet (band), Helmet, Rest in Pieces, and Straight Ahead (band), Straight Ahead. ''New World Disorder'' is the fifth studio album by American band Biohazard. It was released on June 8, 1999 by Mercury Records. It is the only record Biohazard released on Mercury, and their last major label album to date, as well as the only Biohazard studio release to feature former Helmet guitarist Rob Echiverria. It was produced by Ed Stasium, who previously produced ''State of the World Address''. It features guest appearances from Sticky Fingaz, Christian Olde Wolbers, and Igor Cavalera. ''Mata Leão'' is the fourth studio album by American hardcore punk band Biohazard, released on June 25, 1996, by Warner Bros. Records, their second and final album for the label. Upon release, it charted at No. 170 on the Billboard 200, charting over 100 places lower than its predecessor, ''State of the World Address'' (which charted at No. 48)'','' and was a commercial failure, leading Warner Bros. to drop the band from the label. Music videos for ''"''Authority" and "A Lot to Learn" were released to promote the album. The album was produced by Dave Jerden, best known for producing albums by Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction.
