''No Evidence of Disease'' is a feature-length documentary film about N.E.D., a rock band of six gynecologic oncologists who seek to bring more attention and awareness to women's cancers. The film tells the story of the band members - their personal lives as doctors and musicians - and also takes a look into the world of GYN cancers, where patients struggle to fight the disease and advocacy groups and activists seek to raise awareness and research funds for gynecological cancer research and funding. Bryan Sarkinen
Bryan Sarkinen is an American cinematographer, best known for shooting documentaries such as '' The First Monday in May'' (2016). Life and career Sarkinen graduated from NYU in 1999 where he produced a movie interview show called ''The Final Cut.'' He talked to filmmakers and actors such as Danny Boyle, Wong Kar-Wai, Jim Jarmusch, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale about their advice for students. He even went to the Cannes Film Festival in 1998 to conduct interviews. His classmates at school included Sam Esmail and Peter Sollett. In 2003 though a connection made while interning at The Today Show, Sarkinen shot '' The Pact'' which would be his first documentary for Spark Media. Spark would also send him to Bangladesh, Yemen and Burkina Faso to cover a story of early childhood marriage for the UNFPA. LA Femme International Film Festival focuses on platforming women filmmakers, "by women, for everyone". The Festival was created in 2005, to answer the need to enhance women behind the camera as directors, producers, and writers. It was the first women-focused festival in Los Angeles. To meet the festival objectives of showcasing and promoting commercially viable films by women filmmakers, the organization offers mentorships, creates dialogues among creators, holds panels, and assists with finding distribution opportunities. The Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival (RMWFF) in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the United States, is the longest-running women's film festival in North America. First launched in 1988, each year it shows documentary features, shorts and narratives, and women filmmakers from around the world attend and participate in after-film question-and-answer (Q&As) and forums. World Cancer Day is an international day marked on :4 February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.
