No Boundaries (Alexander Rybak Album)
''No Boundaries'' is the second studio album by the Belarusian-Norwegian artist Alexander Rybak, released on 14 June 2010. Background It was recorded in Yla Studios in Malmö. The album include three songs dedicated to his workmates: "Oah", "Why Not Me" and "First Kiss". It also has a tribute to Finland, "Suomi". "5000 Letters" seemingly reflects the letters Rybak received from fans. Another spoken track, "Kaja's Letter" is a letter Rybak found special and was voice by a small Norwegian girl named Kaja. Due to the album's crossover nature, Rybak was sure that the album would be slaughtered by music critics upon its release. Critical reception The album was met with mixed reviews. A Slowak music critic gave the album overall a favourable review, but noted that the chaos that surrounded Rybak and his organisational management could hinder the album's performances. Alexander Rybak
Alexander Igorevich Rybak (russian: Александр Игоревич Рыбак) or Alyaxandr Iharavich Rybak ( be, Аляксандр Ігаравіч Рыбак; born 13 May 1986) is a Belarusian-Norwegian singer-composer, violinist, pianist and actor. Based in Oslo, Rybak extensively worked on television programs and on tours in Norway, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Sweden throughout the early 2010s. Singing in mainly English, Russian and Norwegian, Rybak, in his early twenties, held on to a teen idol status in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and to a certain extent in Western Asia. His debut 2009 album, ''Fairytales'', charted in the top 20 in nine European countries, including a top position in Norway and Russia. He is the brother of composer and producer Konstantin Meladze, who writes songs for him. Biography Early life Valeriy Meladze was born on 23 June 1965 in Batumi in the family of Shota and Nelly Meladze, who were engineers. The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the 55th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Oslo, Norway, following the country's victory at the with the song "Fairytale (Alexander Rybak song), Fairytale" by Alexander Rybak. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the eighth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Minsk, Belarus. It was held on 20 November 2010. The contest was won by Vladimir Arzumanyan from Armenia with the song Mama. This gave Armenia its first Junior Eurovision victory and its first victory in any Eurovision contest. Location The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) invited broadcasters to bid for the rights to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Belarus broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BRTC) won the rights to organise the contest over bids from Russia and Malta.
