Waianae High School
Waianae High School is a public, coeducational secondary school in the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, on the leeward (western) coast of the island of Oahu. The school about northwest of central Honolulu CDP. Waianae High School is part of the Leeward School District, under the Hawaii State Department of Education. Campus The campus is located at 85-251 Farrington Highway between two census-designated places (CDPs): Mākaha (to the north), and Waianae (to the south). It has a Wainae postal address. Waianae High School is situated on the coastline; the Pacific Ocean is directly west of the campus and Farrington Highway bordering on the east. This location makes it the only high school in the U.S. built on the beach. The school's football field, which borders the shoreline, is named after the school's first principal, Raymond Torii. West Philadelphia High School
West Philadelphia High School is a secondary school located in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the intersection of 49th Street and Chestnut Street. History The original West Philadelphia High School (WPHS) building opened in 1912 as Philadelphia's first secondary school west of the Schuylkill, occupying an entire city block bounded by 47th Street, 48th Street, Walnut Street and Locust Street. The student population at that time was in excess of 5,500. Such was the press on the new high school, which originally stood as two separate buildings for boys and girls, that the City was compelled to open Overbrook High School in 1926. A third high school, John Bartram, followed in 1935. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Northeast High School (Philadelphia)
Northeast High School is a high school located at 1601 Cottman Avenue (at Algon Avenue) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Northeast is one of the oldest high schools in Philadelphia, founded in 1890 as the Northeast Manual Training School. Before 1957, it was located at 8th Street and Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia (later the home of Thomas Edison High School). As of June 2016, Northeast High School had 175 graduating classes. Northeast serves Rhawnhurst and other sections of Northeast Philadelphia. The high school was featured in the A&E series '' Teach: Tony Danza'', where actor Tony Danza taught a tenth grade English class during the 2009–2010 school year.
