Durk Derrick Banks (born October 19, 1992), known professionally as Lil Durk, is an American rapper and singer. He is the lead member and founder of the collective and record label Only the Family (OTF). Durk garnered a cult following with the release of his ''Signed to the Streets'' mixtape series (2013–2014), which lead to a record deal with Def Jam Recordings. Robert Coleman Thomas (born March 6, 1999), known professionally as Rob49, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. Early life Robert Thomas was born in 1999 in New Orleans. He grew up in the Iberville Projects and spent most of his childhood in the 4th and 9th wards of New Orleans. He was primarily raised by his mother, as his father was incarcerated for much of his childhood. During Hurricane Katrina, his family fled New Orleans and briefly lived in Baton Rouge and Houston before returning to New Orleans. It was released through the label alongside Empire Distribution as the lead and only single from their collaborative compilation album, ''Nightmares in the Trenches'', on November 10, 2023. Only the Family, often abbreviated as OTF, is a rap collective from Chicago, Illinois. The group was formed by rapper Lil Durk in 2010.
