"Batman: Night of the Owls" is a comic book crossover storyline published by DC Comics in mid-2012, and featuring the Batman family of characters. Primarily written by Scott Snyder, the arc is the first major crossover storyline of The New 52. The story pits the Batman and his allies against the Court of Owls organization as they attempt to cement their control over Gotham City, which they have been manipulating in secret for centuries. As described by ''Nightwing'' writer Kyle Higgins, the series is the follow up to '' Batman: Gates of Gotham'' and divulges more of the history of the city before the turn of the century. David Finch (comics)
David Finch is a comics artist known for his work on Top Cow Productions' '' Cyberforce'', as well as numerous subsequent titles for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, such as '' The New Avengers'', '' Moon Knight'', ''Ultimatum'', and ''Brightest Day''. The Court of Owls is a criminal organization and secret society appearing in DC Comics continuity as adversaries of the superhero Batman. The Court is described as an organization of the wealthiest and most influential citizens of the city of Gotham, having existed since the city's founding and completely unknown among its general population outside of an urban legend centered around their reputation for grisly assassinations carried out by indoctrinated agents known as Talons. Rafael Albuquerque (born April 12, 1981) is a Brazilians, Brazilian comic book creator primarily for his artwork on titles such as DC Comics' ''Jaime Reyes, Blue Beetle'' and as illustrator and co-creator of ''American Vampire''. Judd Winick (born February 12, 1970) is an American cartoonist, comic book writer and screenwriter, as well as a former reality television personality. James Palmiotti (born August 14, 1961) is an American writer and inker of comic books, who also does writing for games, television and film. Early life Palmiotti attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City. Career Palmiotti started at Marvel Comics in 1991. He inked titles such as the ''Punisher'', ''Ghost Rider'', '' The Nam'' and the Marvel 2099 line, and has accumulated extensive inking and writing credits.
