''Night Warning'' (French title: ''Nuits d'alerte'') is a 1946 French war drama film directed by Léon Mathot and starring Hélène Perdrière, Roger Pigaut and Pierre Dudan.Rège p.99 The film's sets were designed by the art director Roland Quignon. Synopsis A waitress helps an escaped French resistance fighter to evade capture and make it to Britain. Léon Mathot
Léon Mathot (5 March 1886, Roubaix, Nord-Pas-de-Calais - 6 March 1968, in Paris) was a French film actor and film director best known perhaps for playing Edmond Dantes in ''The Count of Monte Cristo'' film serial in 1918. He appeared in the 1923 silent film ''Coeur fidèle'', directed by Jean Epstein. He starred in some 60 films mostly in silent film between 1906 and 1939. He turned director in 1927 whilst still appearing in several films and retired in 1953 directing well over 20 films. Jane Marken (born Jeanne Berthe Adolphine Crabbe, sometimes credited as Jeanne Marken, 13 January 1895 in Paris 10th arrondissement – 1 December 1976 in Paris 4th arrondissement) was a French actress. Howard Vernon
Howard Vernon (15 July 1908 – 25 July 1996) was a Swiss actor. In 1961, he became a favorite actor of Spanish film director Jesús Franco and began starring in many low-budget horror and erotic films produced in Spain and France. After portraying Franco's mad doctor character Dr. Orloff, he eventually appeared in a total of 40 Franco films, in addition to his roles for numerous other directors. Life and career Vernon was born Mario Lippert in Baden-Baden, Germany, to a Swiss father and an American mother, and was fluent in German, English and French.
