''Night Games'' ( sv, Nattlek) is a 1966 Swedish movie directed by Mai Zetterling and starring Ingrid Thulin. The film premiered at the 27th Venice International Film Festival where it was considered so controversial that it was shown to the jury in private. The film was also the cause of former child-star Shirley Temple's resignation from the San Francisco International Film Festival. Temple denounced the film as “pornography for profit” and was against its being shown at the festival. Plot Jan returns with his fiancée to his childhood home. While there he flashes back to his childhood, twenty years before when he lived an unfettered life watched over by a strange great-aunt and a hedonistic and often neglectful mother and father. ''Night Games'' is a 1980 erotic thriller film directed by Roger Vadim. It was released in France as ''Jeux de Nuit''. The film stars Cindy Pickett as a woman still traumatised after being raped as a teenager, and is unable to have a satisfactory sex life with her husband, who eventually leaves her. Left alone in a large house, Valerie drifts into sexual fantasies, while facing danger from another potential rapist. Joanna Cassidy also stars, as Valerie's best friend. The film was released on CED in 1983 and VHS in 1989, with a running time of 104 minutes. A subsequent DVD release has a running time of only 96 minutes. "Night Games" is a song by British singer Graham Bonnet released as a single in March 1981 from his third solo album '' Line-Up''. It peaked at number 6 on the UK Singles Chart. Background and release "Night Games" was written by Edwin Hamilton and was first recorded in the mid-1970s by rock band Fast Buck, for whom Hamilton was the lead vocalist and also guitarist. However, the band's version remained unreleased until the release of the box set ''Night Games – The Complete Recordings'' in 2019. Graham Bonnet had been the lead vocalist for the British rock band Rainbow between 1979 and 1980, recording one studio album, '' Down to Earth''. Anna Krien
Anna Krien is an Australian journalist, essayist, fiction and nonfiction writer and poet. Career Krien has contributed to a number of Australian publications, including ''The'' ''Monthly'', ''The Age'', ''The Big Issue'', ''The Best Australian Essays'', ''Griffith Review'', '' Voiceworks'', ''Going Down Swinging'', ''Colors'', ''Frankie'' and '' Dazed & Confused''. Krien has written poetry for a number of years. Her poem, "The Last Broadcasters", won the 2008 Val Vallis Award and "Horses" was included in ''The Best Australian Poems 2010''. In 2014 she became only the second woman to win the £25,000 (A$47,000) William Hill Sports Book of the Year award since its inception 1989. Samantha Lang
Samantha Lang is an Australian film director and screenwriter. Her production company is Handmaid Media. Early life and education Samantha Lang was born in London, England, migrating to Australia with her family at the age of 14. She attended North Sydney Girls' High School, earning her HSC in 1985. She grew up watching European films, and was very influenced by the film ''Hiroshima Mon Amour''. In 1986 she spent a year at Universite de Grenoble, at Grenoble in France, studying French literature and linguistics. After beginning her university studies in 1987, in 1989 Lang was awarded a scholarship from Qantas to study at the Fachhochschule Wiesbaden in Germany for 10 months, where she focused on film and photography.
