Nicola Juniper
Nicola Ann Juniper (born 12 August 1981) is a British racing cyclist, directeur sportif and former team owner. She rode in the women's road race at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire, England. In 2015, Juniper won the British National Circuit Race Championships in Barnsley. MEXX–Watersley International Women's Cycling Team
MEXX–Watersley International Women's Cycling Team is a cycling team based in the Netherlands, founded in 2016, which attained UCI status for the 2019 season. The team announced on their facebook page the intention to fold the team at the end of the 2019 season, however their support staff and a few riders would be moving to ''Andy Schleck Cycles - Immo Losch''. RideLondon
RideLondon is an annual festival of cycling held in London. Intended as an annual legacy of the London 2012, London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, it was first held in 2013. The format consists of a series of cycling events on closed roads around London and Essex for amateur and professional cycle sport, cyclists. Between 2013 and 2019, the event culminated in the London–Surrey Classic, a one-day international elite men's road bicycle racing, road cycling race. From 2022, the RideLondon Classique - a three day, international elite women's road race as part of the UCI Women's World Tour - serves as the flagship event. Tour Series
The Tour Series is an annual series of cycling criterium races held in the United Kingdom since 2009. It is televised by ITV4 in the UK. The competition emphasises team effort with individual wins deemed less important. The races are held over 1 hour of racing plus 5 laps. The team standings for each round are calculated by adding together the positions of the top three riders of each team (5 riders start for each team) and the team with the lowest score wins, and get 10 points for the overall championship. Each team gets 1 point less than the one in front of them, so second gets 9, third gets 8, and so on. In addition, there is the sprint competition. There are three sprints every race, and the top five riders are awarded points based on place: 1st, 5; 2nd, 4; 3rd, 3; 4th, 2 and 5th, 1. 2016 Women's Tour De Yorkshire
The 2016 Women's Tour de Yorkshire was a cycling one-day race that took place in Yorkshire in April 2016. It was the first edition of the Women's Tour de Yorkshire and was organised by Welcome to Yorkshire and the Amaury Sport Organisation. The race started in Otley, ended in Doncaster and was rated as a 1.2 event. The race was won by Kirsten Wild () in a bunch sprint. Notable race entrants also included reigning world champion, Lizzie Armitstead who raced for the Great Britain national team, as well as the return of former world time trial champion, Emma Pooley. Pooley stated she would make her return to cycling as part of her build up and bid for Olympic selection. The Women's Tour de Yorkshire is a women's road cycling race in Yorkshire, England. From 2015 to 2017, the event was a one-day race. From 2018 onwards, the event has been a two-day event, with a UCI race classification of 2.1. The event is the female equivalent of the Tour de Yorkshire. History The first Women's Tour de Yorkshire was run in 2015. The course consisted of four laps of a course, and was won by Britain's Louise Mahé. The 2016 event was run on the same course as a stage of the men's event, from Otley to Doncaster. The event had a prize fund of £15,000, and was broadcast live on ITV. The race was won by Dutch rider Kirsten Wild in a bunch sprint, after the breakaway was caught with to go. The 2017 event was run on the same course as the second stage of the men's race on 29 April. Rás na mBan is an international stage cycle road race for women in Ireland. It was first run in 2006 and has run annually since. The event began as a two-day race based in Dublin and became a three-day event in 2008 when it moved to a new base in Sneem, County Kerry. A further two days were added in 2011 when it became a five-day race with six stages. The race was based in County Clare from 2013 to 2015. The race then moved to Kilkenny in 2016.
