Nick Page (freestyle Skier)
Nick Page (born August 1, 2002) is an American freestyle skier. He competed in the 2022 Winter Olympics in the men's moguls event and placed fifth. Page was the second athlete to attempt a cork 1440 in a FIS level competition and the third mogul skier in the world to do a double cork 10 on a mogul course. He also became the youngest man ever to win a moguls Nor-Am event (2019 at Apex Mountain). He grew up in and trains out of Park City, Utah Park City is a city in Utah, United States. Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline comprising aerials, Mogul Skiing, moguls, Ski Cross, cross, Half-pipe skiing, half-pipe, slopestyle and big air as part of the Freestyle skiing at the Winter Olympics, Winter Olympics. Park City is a city in Utah, United States. The vast majority is in Summit County, and it extends into Wasatch County. It is considered to be part of the Wasatch Back. The ''Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard'' (FIS; en, International Ski and Snowboard Federation) is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. Apex Mountain Resort
Apex Mountain Resort is a ski resort in southwestern Canada, located in the Okanagan region on Beaconsfield Mountain, just west of Penticton, British Columbia. Its first Pomalift was installed in 1961, with a vertical rise of . Beaconsfield Mountain has a summit elevation of above sea level and receives an average of of snow a year. It has of groomed, skiable terrain, of backcountry skiing terrain, and of groomed cross-country terrain. There are 79 named trails accessed by four chairlifts, including one high-speed quad. Mogul Skiing
Mogul skiing is a freestyle skiing competition consisting of one timed run of free skiing on a steep, heavily moguled course, stressing technical turns, aerial maneuvers and speed. Internationally, the sport is contested at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, and at the Winter Olympic Games. Moguls are a series of bumps on a piste formed when skiers push snow into mounds as they do sharp turns. This tends to happen naturally as skiers use the slope but they can also be constructed artificially. Once formed, a naturally occurring mogul tends to grow as skiers follow similar paths around it, further deepening the surrounding grooves known as troughs. Since skiing tends to be a series of linked turns, moguls form together to create a bump field. The term "mogul" is from the Bavarian/Austrian German word ''Mugel'', meaning "mound, hillock". Freestyle Skiing At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Men's Moguls
The men's moguls competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics were held on 3 February (qualification) and 5 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Walter Wallberg of Sweden won the event. Mikaël Kingsbury of Canada became the silver medalist, and Ikuma Horishima from Japan took the bronze. For Wallberg and Horishima this is the first Olympic medal. The defending champion was Mikaël Kingsbury. The 2018 silver medalist, Matt Graham and the bronze medalist, Daichi Hara, qualified for the Olympics as well. At the 2021–22 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, Kingsbury led the ranking before the Olympics, closely followed by Ikuma Horishima.
