Nick Music (Dutch TV Channel)
NickMusic (formerly known as Nick Hits) is a music video channel for children in the Netherlands and Belgium. The channel launched as Nick Hits on 2 August 2007 and became NickMusic on 1 February 2017. It plays mainly child-friendly pop music. As of 1 July 2020, it was also made available in Australia and New Zealand without any localisation or timeshifting, and replaced MTV Music 24 throughout Central Europe on 1 June 2021. The channel has a Czech license (RRTV) in order to ensure the continuation of legal broadcasting in the EU in accordance with the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) and the Single Market Law after the UK leaves the European Union. Since the Czech Republic has minimum broadcasting rules, it was chosen for licensing purposes in the EU. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. The ''576'' identifies a vertical resolution of 576 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an Interlaced video, interlaced resolution. Paramount Network (Dutch TV Channel)
Paramount Network is a Dutch free-to-cable television channel in the Netherlands, based on the American rebranded Paramount Network. The television channels launched as Spike on 1 October 2015. It was the third Spike channel next to the US and UK version of the channel. The television channel aimed at an audience of mainly men. Initially it only broadcast daily between 21:00 and 2:30, time-sharing with Nickelodeon. As of 12 December 2016 the channel is broadcasting 24 hours a day in the Netherlands. Until 6 January 2021, the channel was also available in Flanders. On 24 May 2022, the channel was renamed by Paramount Network. NickMusic is an Australian TV channel jointly owned by Foxtel Networks and Paramount Networks UK & Australia. It launched on 1 July 2020 replacing Channel on channel 802, taking the slot of s 2-hour timeshift. It is an Australian version of the U.S pay television channel of the same name, a kid-safe, family-friendly music video channel for 4-15 year olds mainly featuring modern-day pop and teen pop hits on an automated schedule. It is the first NickMusic channel in Oceania and the second to launch outside of the United States (after the Dutch version). On 6 July 2020, NickMusic was made available in New Zealand via satellite TV broadcaster Sky. In April 2021, it was added onto Fetch TV. Unlike its sister MTV-branded music channels, NickMusic is not programmed locally and is instead a direct (non-timeshifted) simulcast of the Dutch version, giving Dutch artists some form of exposure in Australia. MTV Music 24 (also called MTV Music) was a Pan-European music television channel operated by ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA. The channel was available in multiple countries across Europe. The programming consists of non-stop music videos 24-hours a day. The channel first launched in the Netherlands and Flanders in 2011. Since then the channel has rolled out across many parts of Europe including Germany and it is available in South Africa. In March 2020, the channel launched in Poland replacing the version of MTV Music Polska. History In the course of 2011 it became clear that MTV Benelux would cease TMF Nederland in the Netherlands replacing it by thematic channels of the MTV brand.
