Nick Anderson (American Football)
Nick Anderson (born January 27, 2000) is an American football linebacker who is a free agent. He played college football at Tulane. Early life Anderson was born prematurely on January 27, 2000, and grew up in Vickburg Mississippi. He played football at Vicksburg High School and played as both a linebacker and running back. Throughout, elementary through high school Anderson maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and made nothing less than an A grade in all his courses. During his sophomore season, his mother prevented him from attending spring practices due to earning a B grade. While playing at Vicksburg he was named 2015-2016 Team Rookie of the Year, 2016-2017 1st Team All District Linebacker, and All County Defensive Player of the Year. During high school, he amassed 172 total tackles, 8 sacks, 1 interception, and 2 fumble recoveries. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). How a linebacker plays their position depends on the defensive alignment, the philosophy of the coaching staff, and the particular play the offense may call. Natorian "Duece" Watts (born December 23, 1999) is an American football wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Jones College and Tulane. High school career Watts was born in Chicago, Illinois, but moved to Richton, Mississippi at the age of four. He initially attended Richton High School, where he played football with his twin brother Nataurean “Phat” Watts. After their sophomore year, Watts and his brother transferred to Petal High School where he played with future Tulane teammate Stephon Huderson. 2022 Tulane Green Wave Football Season
The 2022 Tulane Green Wave football team represented Tulane University in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Green Wave played their home games at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana, and competed in the American Athletic Conference (The American). They were led by seventh-year head coach Willie Fritz. They finished the season 12–2, 7–1 in AAC play to earn a trip to the AAC championship game. The Green Wave defeated UCF to win the AAC championship, the school's first conference championship since 1998 and its first AAC championship. They received a bid to the Cotton Bowl Classic to play No-10 ranked USC. It was their first major bowl game since the 1940 Sugar Bowl. The Ole Miss Rebels football program represents the University of Mississippi, also known as "Ole Miss".
