NGHTCRWLRS are an American rock band from New Jersey. History NGHTCRWLRS are a four-piece indie rock band from North Jersey, that formed in 2014. The band members were in other Hudson County, New Jersey groups; vocalist and guitarist Frank DeFranco played in Holy City Zoo, vocalist and guitarist Eric Goldberg was in the Nico Blues, vocalist and bassist Brian Goglia played in They Had Faces Then and Man on Fire, and vocalist and drummer Max Rauch was in Washington Square Park. In the ''Jersey Journal'' DeFranco recalls, that "when we all started sharing a practice space in Clifton it became a place where we all knew and trusted each other, and we all started playing with each other whenever any of us were free." The band draws comparison to the music of Title Fight, Fugazi and Sonic Youth. NGHTCRWLRS' first release is the song "Lt. ''Raging Hot'' is the second studio album from the American rock band NGHTCRWLRS. Content The eight-track album was released on compact disc and digitally with Sniffling Indie Kids, on November 11, 2016. It was recorded and engineered by Max Rauch, at their rehearsal space in Clifton, New Jersey, and mixed and mastered by Jeremy Cimino. ''Raging Hot'' is described as a mix of abrasive and intense rock anthems and jazzy and mellow tunes, and a ''Pirate!'' press release calls the album "90s indie rock from an alternate universe funky 80s glam combine with all manner of psychedelia and noise." In an interview '' The Jersey Journal'', DeFranco details the songwriting, saying "it's all guitar-driven music, but we went through a bit of a Talking Heads phase as we were writing it so that kind of comes through." Content The eight-track album was released on compact disc and digital download with Sniffling Indie Kids, on 28 February 2015. It was recorded and engineered by Max Rauch, at their rehearsal space in Clifton, New Jersey, and mixed and mastered by Jeremy Cimino. A ''Pirate!'' press release calls ''NGHTCRWLRS'' "stunningly psychedelic while still capturing the emotional wreckage of being a twenty-something person unsure of the world and your place in it," and it draws comparison to the music of Brand New, early Sonic Youth, Pavement, and Pink Floyd. The North Jersey Indie Rock Festival is an American annual concert in Jersey City, that showcases artists primarily from New Jersey. About The festival was created by Sniffling Indie Kids co-founder Frank DeFranco and Mint 400 Records founder Neil Sabatino, in 2016. It has been hosted by many of the state's music magazines, websites and radio, including ''The Aquarian Weekly'', ''Jersey Beat'', Speak Into My Good Eye, and WFDU.
