	Newcomer (Lenape) Netawatwees or King Newcomer (c. 1686–1776, Lenape) was Sachem (principle Chief) and spiritual leader of the Delaware. His name, meaning "skilled advisor" or "first in council," is spelled in a variety of ways including Netaut Twelement, Na-taut-whale-mund, Neattawatways, Netahutquemaled, and Netodwehement. During the French and Indian War, he escaped some of the hostilities by migrating to the confluence of the Tuscarawas and Muskingum rivers, where he was chief of ''Gekelukpechink'' village. Later he moved to the village of Coshocton, a center of Lenape settlement on the Tuscarawas. Both these villages were in present-day Ohio. He was among the signatories of the Fort Pitt treaty with Continental/United States forces. He allied with the rebels in the hope of gaining an all-Native American state in the new nation. 	Shinzanmono is a detective Japanese television drama, part of the Spring 2010 season of the Japanese TBS Network. It is based on the same-name novel in the "Kyōichirō Kaga" series by mystery author Keigo Higashino and is set and filmed in the Ningyo-cho area of Nihonbashi, Tokyo. This series was followed by a special "Akai Yubi" aired on January 3, 2011 and a feature film The Wings of the Kirin, released on January 28, 2012. Synopsis Shinzanmono is the name given to a newcomer. In this case, the newcomer is Kaga Kyōichirō (played by Hiroshi Abe) an experienced detective who is newly transferred to Nihonbashi Police Station in Tokyo. A woman has been murdered and he has been assigned to the team investigating the murder. 	Newcomerstown, Ohio Newcomerstown is a village in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States, east-northeast of Columbus. In the late 1770s, this was the largest Delaware Indian village on the Tuscarawas River, with 700 residents. Chief Newcomer (''Netawatwes'') was the leader of the western Delawares here, and they called the village ''Gekelmukpechunk''. Early French traders and English settlers named the village Newcomerstown after the chief. Soon after the start of the American Revolutionary War, the Delawares moved west to Coshocton, about halfway through what is now the next county. Name The name comes from a Lenape (Delaware) village established in the 1760s by Netawatwees (c. 1686-1776), also known as Newcomer.
