New Zealand's Got Talent (series 1)
The first series of ''New Zealand's Got Talent'' began airing on Prime on 8 September 2008 and ran to 28 October 2008. It consisted of 13 episodes. In March 2008, Prime announced it was producing a version of ''New Zealand's Got Talent'', in conjunction with South Pacific Pictures and FremantleMedia, with a grand prize of NZ$100,000. In June, actress Miriama Smith was announced as the first of the show's three judges, and television presenter Andrew Mulligan and radio host Jason Reeves were announced as the show's two presenters. Jason Reeves (radio Broadcaster)
Jason Reeves (born May 1976, Hastings) is a radio broadcaster and television presenter from New Zealand. He currently co-hosts the breakfast show on Coast. He has previously worked for other stations such as Auckland's Classic Hits 97.4, The Edge and for ZM . Career Reeves began his radio career in 1994 at the age of 18 after leaving Karamu High School, and worked on Hot 93FM in Hawkes Bay. He remained there until 1996, when he moved to another Hawkes Bay Station, Xtreme 100. In 1997, he moved to Hamilton to work on the then local station, The Edge, originally on the drive time show, but moved to the breakfast show with Jay-Jay Feeney in 1998. Reeves worked at The Edge as it progressed from a local Hamilton station to a nationwide network station based in Auckland, which happened in late 2001. Miriama Te Rangimarie Smith (born 3 June 1976) is a New Zealand film and television actress who has played roles in various TV shows such as '' Xena: Warrior Princess'', ''Karaoke High'' and ''Shortland Street''. Her best-known roles, however, were the role of Moz in the third season of '' The Tribe'', and also the role of Elsa / Principal Randall in the 2004 ''Power Rangers'' series, ''Power Rangers Dino Thunder''. She was one of the three judges on the first season of entertainment show ''New Zealand's Got Talent'' that aired on Prime TV in 2008. Brian Paul Ellis is a New Zealand record producer, talent manager, manager, and radio host. He is most known to audiences for being the former judge of ''New Zealand Idol'' and a former judge of the reality series ''New Zealand's Got Talent''. Prime is a New Zealand free-to-air television network. It airs a varied mix of programming, largely imported from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. New Zealand's Got Talent
''New Zealand's Got Talent'' was a New Zealand reality television show which premiered in 2008. The show was based on the ''Got Talent'' series. The show featured singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other variety performers of all ages competing for a top prize of $100,000 cash and a Toyota RAV4 car. Three judges appear on the show each week to provide feedback for the contestants. The show originally screened on Prime for one series before being dropped. TV One later revived the show, with series produced in 2012 and 2013. ''New Zealand Idol'', also known as ''NZ Idol'', was the New Zealand version of the Idol series originated as the hit British TV series ''Pop Idol''. New Zealand first saw the ''Idol'' format when TV2 aired '' American Idol 2'', which garnered impressive ratings. The second series of ''New Zealand's Got Talent'' aired on TV One on 9 September 2012 and ended on 2 December 2012.
