New Year's Smash (December 2021)
The December 2021 New Year's Smash was the second New Year's Smash professional wrestling television special produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on December 29, 2021, at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The two-part event was broadcast on TNT as special episodes of AEW's weekly television programs, '' Wednesday Night Dynamite'' and '' Friday Night Rampage''. ''Dynamite'' aired live while ''Rampage'' aired on tape delay on December 31. It was the second New Year's Smash event to be held in 2021, after the first took place in January. The ''Dynamite'' broadcast was the show's final episode on TNT as ''Dynamite'' moved to TNT's sister channel TBS on January 5, 2022. Bryan Danielson
Bryan Lloyd Danielson (born May 22, 1981) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a member of the Blackpool Combat Club. He is also known for his time in WWE, where he worked from 2009 to 2021 under the ring name Daniel Bryan. Danielson began his professional wrestling career in 1999 on the independent circuit, and signed an 18-month contract with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2000; he later went on to make uncontracted appearances in WWE until 2003. Julian Micevski (born September 20, 1989), better known by his ring name Ethan Page, is a Canadian professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a member of The Firm. Best Friends are a professional wrestling stable, originally a tag team consisting of Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta. The team is currently performing in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). They first formed in Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG), where they were the winners of the 2014 Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament. Since the inception of AEW in 2019, the duo has regularly appeared alongside Orange Cassidy. Starting in 2021, they would be joined by Kris Statlander and Wheeler Yuta, the latter of whom left the team in 2022.
