New Republic Party (South Africa)
The New Republic Party (NRP) was a South African political party. It was formed as the successor to the disbanded United Party (UP) in 1977 and as a merger with the smaller Democratic Party. It drew its support mainly from the then Province of Natal, and tried to strike a moderate course between the apartheid policy of the ruling National Party (NP) and the liberal policies of the Progressive Federal Party (PFP). Background The United Party had been the main opposition in the House of Assembly since it lost power in the 1948 election, but it was severely weakened by a split in 1975. To gain new support, the UP then merged with the Democratic Party to form the New Republic Party in 1977. After the UP wound up, the last UP leader, Sir de Villiers Graaff served as the interim national leader of the new party, with Radclyffe Cadman as parliamentary leader. New Republic (Romania)
The New Republic ( ro, Noua Republică) is a political party in Romania. It was established in October 2011 as a grassroots movement inspired by a manifesto on blogs and center-right platforms. The movement grew and spawned more than 40 branches around the country. The first President was Mihail Neamțu, an intellectual who entered politics. The Vice President is George Mioc. On 16 March 2015, Neamțu announced he was stepping down to focus more on his family. George Mioc also left the party in 2015. The New Republic Party ( es, Partido Nueva República) is a Costa Rican Christian-conservative political party founded on 20 October 2018. The party was founded after the resignation of the evangelical singer and journalist Fabricio Alvarado Muñoz from the Christian party National Restoration for disagreements with the Executive Committee chaired by Congressman Carlos Avendaño. New Republican Force
The New Republican Force (Spanish: ''Nueva Fuerza Republicana'', NFR) is a center-right political party in Bolivia. It is mainly based in the department of Cochabamba. History The NFR was founded in 1995. After the Assembly for the Sovereignty of the Peoples' (ASP) success in the 1999 municipal elections in Cochabamba, the NFR offered ASP leader Alejo Véliz and other peasant activists top candidate positions and won them over. At the legislative elections in 2002, the party won 26.5% of the popular vote and 27 out of 130 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and two out of 27 seats in the Senate. Its candidate at the presidential elections, Manfred Reyes Villa, won 20.9% of the popular vote. The Union for the New Republic (french: L'Union pour la nouvelle République, UNR), was a French political party founded on 1 October 1958 that supported Prime Minister Charles de Gaulle in the 1958 elections. History The UNR won 206 of 579 seats in the November 1958 elections. In 1962, the UNR grouped with the Gaullist Democratic Union of Labour (French: ''Union démocratique du travail, UDT'') to form the UNR-UDT.
