New Light is an unincorporated community in New Light Township, Wake County, North Carolina, United States. It is located at the intersection of Purnell Rd (SR 1909), Stony Hill Rd (SR 1917), and Mangum Dairy Rd (SR 1911). It has an elevation of 413 ft. As of January 2019, New Light Township has a population of 8,687 and a median home value of $380,000. History In the 1750s, New Light Baptists migrated from New England to North Carolina. It was released as the lead single from his eighth studio album ''Sob Rock'' on May 10, 2018 and was released to Hot AC and Triple A radio on June 18, 2018. It was written and produced by Mayer and No I.D. Release and promotion Mayer took to Instagram to tease new music, saying "Summer bop drop imminent" on May 8, 2018 and announced the release of the new single "New Light" on May 9. The next day, Mayer premiered the song on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio with Zane Lowe. Music video On May 23, Mayer shared the trailer for the song's music video. Moving Mountains is an American rock band from Purchase, New York. Combining elements of emo and post-rock, the band has often been compared to such acts as The Appleseed Cast and Thrice. History Formation and ''Pneuma'' (2005–2009) Moving Mountains was formed in Westchester, New York in 2005 by Gregory Dunn (guitar/vocals) and Nicholas Pizzolato (drums). A self-titled demo was leaked to the public in early 2006 and their debut album '' Pneuma'' was released independently in early 2007. Later that year, Frank Graniero (guitar/vocals) and Mitchell Lee (bass) completed the band’s line-up. In 2008, ''Pneuma'' was reissued by Deep Elm Records. The album was written by Gregory Dunn. His lyrical inspiration was the death of his friend. The track titled "8105" represents the date August 1, 2005 when the band was officially formed by both Gregory Dunn and Nicholas Pizzolato. The terms Old Lights and New Lights (among others) are used in Protestant Christian circles to distinguish between two groups who were initially the same, but have come to a disagreement. These terms originated in the early 18th century from a split in theological approach among Calvinist denominations concerning the nature of conversion and salvation.
