New Found Glory (album)
''New Found Glory'' (often referred to as ) is the second studio album and record label#major labels, major label debut by the American rock music, rock band New Found Glory, of the same name. It was record producer, produced and Audio mixing (recorded music), mixed by Neal Avron and released on September 26, 2000, through Drive-Thru Records, Drive-Thru and MCA Records. Featuring a new recording of the band's breakthrough single "Hit or Miss (New Found Glory song), Hit or Miss", the album was later certified gold album, gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with shipments of 500,000 units. During the band's concert tour, American tour in late 2009, they announced a special edition re-release of the album to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The deluxe package included new liner notes, seven b-sides and a DVD. A commemorative tour also took place with the album played live in its entirety. New Found Glory
New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Ian Grushka (bass guitar), Chad Gilbert (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Cyrus Bolooki (drums). Longtime rhythm guitarist and lyricist Steve Klein left the band in late 2013. During their lengthy recording career, the band have released ten studio albums, one live album, two EPs, and four cover albums. After forming in 1997, New Found Glory released their debut studio album '' Nothing Gold Can Stay'' in 1999. ''Alternative Press'' is an American entertainment magazine primarily focused on music and culture, now based in Los Angeles, CA. It generally provides readers with band interviews, photos, and relevant news. It was founded in 1985 by Mike Shea in Cleveland, OH. The company is now looked after by MDDN. Beginnings The first issue of ''Alternative Press'' was distributed at concerts in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in June 1985 by ''APs founder, Mike Shea to advocate bands playing underground music. The name for the magazine, ''Alternative Press'', was not a reference to the alternative rock genre, but referred to the fanzine being an alternative to the local press. Eulogy Recordings is an American independent record label established in early 1997 by hardcore guitarist John Wylie. The record company was founded in Cooper City, Florida but its headquarters moved around in various parts of Broward County, Florida. Since its buy-out in 2018, it has been based in Atlanta, Georgia. The label releases heavy metal and hardcore bands, some of which are straight edge. Among the label's better-known signings were Set Your Goals and New Found Glory. The first band signed to Eulogy Recordings in April 1997 was Bird of Ill Omen, which featured several members of Wylie's band Morning Again in its line-up. Richard Reines
Richard Reines is an American recording industry executive who is co-owner of Drive-Thru Records with his sister, Stefanie Reines. Since its establishment in 1996, Drive-Thru Records has achieved notable success with bands including New Found Glory, Fenix*TX, Midtown, Finch, The Starting Line, Something Corporate, The Early November, Dashboard Confessional, Senses Fail and Hellogoodbye. Reines graduated New York University Film School and has directed music videos by The Bloodhound Gang, Size 14 (namely the song Claire Danes Poster), Jimmy Eat World, Goldfinger, New Found Glory, Sloan, Rotator Cuff, Something Corporate, The Starting Line, Finch, and many others. Nothing Gold Can Stay (album)
''Nothing Gold Can Stay'' is the debut studio album by American rock band New Found Glory, released on May 1, 1999, through independent record label Eulogy Recordings. At the time, the band was then named "A New Found Glory", but later dropped the indefinite article "A" due to some fans struggling to find their records in stores. The original pressings of the album contained samplings from several films including '' The Outsiders'' (1983), '' Weird Science'' (1985), and ''That Thing You Do!'' (1996), as well as Robert Frost's poem " Nothing Gold Can Stay", after which the album is named. On the strength of the release, Richard Reines, co-founder of Drive-Thru Records, signed the band after paying Eulogy a $5,000 license fee in order to re-release the album on October 19, 1999.
