Neubrücke (Nahe) station is a station in the town of Neubrücke (Nahe) in the municipality of Hoppstädten-Weiersbach in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is on the Nahe Valley Railway (''Nahetalbahn'') and was the terminus of the Birkenfeld District Railway (''Birkenfelder Kreisbahn'') to the district seat of Birkenfeld from 1880 to 1991. Hoppstädten-Weiersbach is an ''Ortsgemeinde'' – a municipality belonging to a ''Verbandsgemeinde'', a kind of collective municipality – in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It belongs to the ''Verbandsgemeinde'' of Birkenfeld, whose seat is in the like-named town. Location The municipality lies in neither the Hunsrück nor the Palatinate, but rather near the boundary with the Saarland in the Nahe valley in the Upper Nahe Uplands (''Oberes Nahebergland''), part of the Saar-Nahe Hills (''Saar-Nahe-Bergland''). Bad Kreuznach station is the largest station in the town of Bad Kreuznach in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 3 station. The Class 425 and Class 426 EMUs are a class of electric multiple units built by a consortium of Siemens, Bombardier and DWA, and are operated by DB Regio in Germany. DBAG Class 612
The DBAG Class 612 is a two car, tilting, diesel multiple unit operated by the Deutsche Bahn for fast regional rail services on unelectrified lines. General information The Class are a two car tilting DMU built between 1998 and 2003 by Adtranz in Hennigsdorf which later became Bombardier Transportation. The class are also known as RegioSwingers. They were developed to replace the problematic DB Class 611. The sets worked fine between 1998 and 2004 until cracks were detected in a number of wheelsets and so the tilting system was disabled and curves on lines had to have reduced speed limits, which affected the timetables and connections.
