Netherlands In The Eurovision Song Contest 2024
The Netherlands participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with "" performed by Joost Klein. The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS internally selected the Dutch entry for the 2024 contest. Klein's appointment as the Dutch representative was announced on 11 December 2023, while the song, "", was presented to the public on 29 February 2024. The Netherlands was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 9 May 2024. Joost Klein
Joost Klein (; born 10 November 1997), also known mononymously as Joost, is a Dutch musician, rapper, singer and former YouTuber. Mainly a hip hop artist, his songs and performances often include influences of electronic music, such as drum and bass, hardstyle and gabber. He has released eight studio albums, two of which reached the top ten of the Dutch Album Top 100. Teach-In was a Dutch band, best known for winning Eurovision Song Contest 1975 with the song "Ding-a-dong". The band was founded in 1967 and parted in 1980. Throughout this time there were several changes in line-up. History The group was formed in 1967 in Enschede. Cornald Maas
Cornald Maas is a Dutch television presenter who has been known for presenting talk shows in the Netherlands. He is the brother of Frans Maas. Early career He was an editor involved in ''The Scream of the Lion'' (VARA) with Paul de Leeuw, ''Sonja on Saturday'' (VARA) with Sonja Barend and ''Rolling Fire'' ( NOS) with Philip Freriks and Leoni Jansen. Jacqueline Govaert
Jacqueline Govaert (; born 20 April 1982) is a Dutch singer, songwriter, and pianist. She is best known as the leader of Dutch band Krezip. After Krezip disbanded in 2009, Govaert started a solo music career. She released her debut album ''Good Life'' in August 2010. It was staged almost every year between 1956 and 2012 to determine the country's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. Dion Cuiper (; born 29 November 1993), known professionally as Dion Cooper, is a Dutch singer-songwriter. "Burning Daylight" is a song by Dutch singers Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper, released on 1 March 2023. The song represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 after the artists were internally selected by AVROTROS, the Dutch broadcaster for the Eurovision Song Contest.
