The Netherlands participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with "" performed by S10 (singer), S10. The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS internally selected the Dutch entry for the 2022 contest. S10's appointment as the Dutch representative was announced on 7 December 2021, while the song, "", was presented to the public during an event on 3 March 2022. The Netherlands was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 10 May 2022. Stien den Hollander (; born 8 November 2000), known professionally as S10, is a Dutch singer, rapper and songwriter. Jeangu Macrooy (; born November 6, 1993) is a Surinamese singer-songwriter. He was born in Paramaribo and has been living in the Netherlands in the eastern city Enschede in the region Twente since 2014. Macrooy's music is described as modern soul. His audience is in the Netherlands, Suriname, and increasingly in Belgium, France and Germany. The Common Linnets are a Dutch band that was formed in 2013. The band originally consisted of friends Ilse DeLange and Waylon. DeLange has stated that the group is a platform for Dutch artists to make country, Americana, and bluegrass music, and that the members will be changing. In May 2014, Waylon left the group and was replaced by American country singer Jake Etheridge.
