Bradley Ray Nessler (born June 3, 1956) is an American sportscaster, who currently calls college football and college basketball games for CBS Sports. Career Early assignments Nessler began his professional broadcasting career sharing play–by–play radio duties with Al Ciraldo on Georgia Tech basketball on WGST from 1980–81 through 1984–85 and handled the play–by–play for the Atlanta Falcons from 1982 to 1988 on WGST and WSB before assuming the same position for the Minnesota Vikings during the 1988 and 1989 seasons. He also called preseason telecasts for the Miami Dolphins for several years and has done play–by–play of ACC football and basketball telecasts for Jefferson-Pilot. Julius Neßler
Julius Neßler (6 June 1827 – 19 March 1905) was a German chemist. He devised the chemical solution '' Nessler's reagent'' which provides a colorimetric measure of ammonia concentration. Biography Neßler studied at the University of Freiburg from 1853 to 1856, when he attained his PhD. After his Ph.D. Neßler worked for some months with Lambert Heinrich von Babo and Robert Wilhelm Bunsen and then joined a chemical company in Karlsruhe. Martha Nessler Hayden (born 1936) is an American artist, known for Modernist landscape painting and artist books. Hayden lives and works in Sharon, Wisconsin, in a historic Victorian home. She has produced art in many mediums including oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor, gouache, fabric art, ceramics and enameling. Over the years, she has also maintained studios in New York City in Astoria (1995–2001) and on the Lower East Side (2001–2017). Karl Nessler
Charles Nessler (2 May 1872 in Todtnau, Germany – 22 January 1951 in Harrington Park, New Jersey, USA) was the inventor of the permanent wave. Life Karl Nessler was the son of Rosina (née Laitner) and Bartholomäus Nessler, a cobbler in Todtnau, a small town located high in the Black Forest, just beneath the Feldberg. He reportedly conceived the idea of a permanent wave early on. As a youngster, he occasionally worked as a shepherd and observed that wool, in contrast to human hair, is constantly crimped. He also noticed that plant tendrils would naturally curl in advance of rainstorms. He began an apprenticeship with a village barber in nearby Schopfheim-Fahrnau, but he dropped out after just a few months. Viktor (or Victor) Ernst Nessler (28 January 1841 – 28 May 1890) was an Alsatian composer who worked mainly in Leipzig. Nessler was born at Baldenheim near Sélestat, Alsace. At Strasbourg he began his university career with the study of theology, but he concluded it with the production of a light opera entitled ''Fleurette'' (1864). To complete his knowledge of music Nessler went to Leipzig to study with Moritz Hauptmann. Nessler cylinders (also named color comparison cylinders or color comparing cylinders) are laboratory tubes with a fixed volume, made of glass with optically plane bottom. On the walls, there are marks of the nominal stroke volume (usually 100 ml) and possibly one halfway mark (usually 50 ml). Nessler cylinders are used for colorimetric analysis, such as APHA color.
