Nelanglo Parish is a civil parish of King County, New South Wales. Nelanglo is located at between Gundaroo and Collector, in the hills overlooking Lake George. King County, New South Wales
King County was one of the original Nineteen Counties in New South Wales and is now one of the 141 cadastral divisions of New South Wales. It is in the area to the east of Yass. The northern part of it lies between the Lachlan River and the Boorowa River, including the locations of Frogmore, Taylors Flat, Gunnary, Rugby and Rye Park. The Crookwell River is also part of the northern boundary. The Yass River is the southern boundary. Gundaroo, New South Wales
Gundaroo is a small village in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia and in Yass Valley Council. It is situated to the east of the Yass River, about north of Sutton, about west of the Lake George range. At the , Gundaroo "state suburb" (including surrounding areas) had a population of 1,146. At the , its "urban centre/locality" had a population of 331. History The area now known as Gundaroo lies close to the boundaries of the traditional lands of the Gandangara and Ngunawal peoples. The Gandangara and Ngunawal peoples spoke closely related, if not identical, languages. The explorers Charles Throsby and Joseph Wild traveled through the Yass River valley in 1820. Collector, New South Wales
Collector is a small village on the Federal Highway in New South Wales, Australia halfway between Goulburn and the Australian Capital Territory. It is seven kilometres north of Lake George. At the , Collector and the surrounding district had a population of 376 people. History The area was first settled by Europeans in 1829 when Terence Aubrey Murray was granted an area of land in the area in 1829, originally called ''Old Collector''. Murray acquired further land in the area and renamed his property ''Winderradeen'' where he built a 12-room house on the land in 1837. Lake George (or Weereewa in the Ngunnawal language) is an Endorheic basin, endorheic lake in south-eastern New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately north-east of Canberra located adjacent to the Federal Highway (Australia), Federal Highway en route to and Sydney.
