Neil Jenkins
Neil Jenkins, (born 8 July 1971) is a Welsh former rugby union player and current coach. He played fly-half, centre, or full back for Pontypridd, Cardiff, Celtic Warriors, Wales and the British & Irish Lions. Jenkins is Wales' highest ever points-scorer and is the fourth highest on the List of leading rugby union test point scorers. He was the first player to score 1,000 points in international matches. In 2004 Jenkins joined the coaching staff of the Wales national rugby union team and is the kicking skills coach. Early life Jenkins was born in Church Village near Pontypridd, Wales to a scrap dealer and his wife. Neil Jenkins (born 6 January 1982) is an English former footballer who played as a left footed defender and midfielder. He started his career as a trainee at Wimbledon before transferring to the then Division Three side Southend United for two seasons, then joining the non league team of Crawley Town and later Eastbourne Borough. During his career, Jenkins was capped 24 times for the England national team at U16, U18, U19 and U20 age groups. Career Southend United Born in Carshalton, London, Jenkins joined the Essex based team Southend United in July 2002, on a one-year contract. He scored in his debut game against Hull City and by the 2002–03 season was one of the top scoring midfielders with seven goals. George Neil Jenkins
George Neil Jenkins (23 October 1914 – 14 October 2007) was Professor of Oral Physiology at the Dental School of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne for most of his distinguished career. He concentrated his research on the prevention of tooth decay, becoming a world expert in oral hygiene. He was a lifelong humanist, and President of the North East Humanists group. Career After becoming one of the first students in the country to read for a degree in biochemistry, Jenkins gained a PhD at Cambridge, and by the early 1940s was teaching physiology to doctors at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. In 1946 Jenkins came to Newcastle upon Tyne and was for ten years Nuffield Lecturer in Physiology to dental students at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, a role which he pioneered.
