Neil Dansie
Hampton Neil Dansie (born 2 July 1928) is a former first-class cricketer and long-term administrator for South Australia. Early life Nicknamed "Nodder" due to his habit of nodding in agreement when in conversation, Dansie was born in Nuriootpa, South Australia, the grandson of Sam Dansie, a leading country cricketer who represented a Broken Hill team against the touring Marylebone Cricket Club side.Pollard, J. Nuriootpa, South Australia
Nuriootpa ( ) is a town in South Australia and the major commercial centre of the Barossa Valley, about an hour's drive north of the state capital, Adelaide. The name of the town is reputed to be the local Aboriginal word for "meeting place". Nuriootpa is situated at the north end of the Barossa Valley, near the Sturt Highway and has a population of over 6500 people, making it the largest town in the area. The WACA (formally the WACA Ground) is a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium's name derives from the initials of its owners and operators, the Western Australian Cricket Association. Alf Gover
Alfred Richard Gover (29 February 1908 – 7 October 2001) was an English Test cricketer. He was the mainstay of the Surrey bowling attack during the 1930s and played four Tests before and after the Second World War. He also founded and ran a cricket school in Wandsworth that coached many notable players. "Good cricket was a crusade for one of the game's kindest men" wrote the cricket correspondent, Colin Bateman, about Gover's long-standing coaching exploits. Arthur Richardson (Australian Cricketer)
Arthur John Richardson (24 July 1888 – 23 December 1973) was an Australian Test cricketer who played nine Tests matches for Australia. Career Born in Clare in rural South Australia, Richardson began playing cricket for the Sevenhills cricket club and when the club was disbanded prior to the 1911/12 season, he transferred to the Kybunga Cricket Club and topped both the Stanley Cricketing Association batting and bowling averages, scoring 738 runs at 92.20 and taking 40 wickets at 8.00. He played four Tests in 1924–25 against the touring English team, and toured England in 1926, playing all five Tests and scoring a century in the Third Test at Leeds. Todmorden Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Centre Vale in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. Until the administrative border was changed in 1888, the historic boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire ran through the centre of the ground. History In October 1890, Todmorden Cricket Club (Todmorden CC) were founder members of the Lancashire League (then called the North East Lancashire Cricket League), but resigned in February 1891 without playing a game. In 1891, Todmorden CC was a founder member of the South East Lancashire Cricket League, which changed to the Central Lancashire Cricket League in 1893.
