Dharwad is an administrative district of the state of Karnataka in southern India.The administrative headquarters of the district is the city of Dharwad, also known as Dharwar. Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (abbreviated as HDMC) is the Municipal Corporation responsible for the civic infrastructure and administration of the twin cities of Hubli and Dharwad, located in North Western part of Karnataka state in India. Kelgeri is a locality in Dharwad of Karnataka, India. It is surrounde''d by Kelgeri'' lake. The Dharwad–Hubli bypass road passes through the area. The famous Dharwad buffaloes are plentiful in this area. Buffalo farming is the main business. It is common to see people with several cans hanging on their bicycles in the morning, supplying milk to remote places of Dharwad. People selling milk are called by the name Gou li.
