Nehale LyaMpingana Constituency
Nehale IyaMpingana Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia, named after Nehale lya Mpingana, one of Namibia's National Heroes. It was created in August 2013, following a recommendation of the ''Fourth Delimitation Commission of Namibia'', and in preparation of the 2014 general election. The administrative centre of Nehale lyaMpingana is the settlement of Okoloti. the constituency had 5,879 registered voters. The constituency borders the constituencies of Guinas, Omuthiyagwiipundi Constituency, Eengodi, and Okankolo. Politics Nehale IyaMpingana constituency is traditionally a stronghold of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) party. Eengodi Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It had 14,995 inhabitants in 2004 and 7,740 registered voters . Politics Eengodi constituency is traditionally a stronghold of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) party. 2020 Namibian Local And Regional Elections
Local and regional elections were held in Namibia on 25 November 2020 to elect new local and regional councils. The previous round of elections was held in 2015 and won by the ruling SWAPO party. Electoral system Elections for regional councils are held using the first-past-the-post electoral system. Voters in each constituency elect one councillor to represent them on their regional council. Local authority councillors are elected by a system of proportional representation. Local authority candidate lists have affirmative action requirements for women. The South West Africa People's Organisation (, SWAPO; af, Suidwes-Afrikaanse Volks Organisasie, SWAVO; german: Südwestafrikanische Volksorganisation, SWAVO), officially known as the SWAPO Party of Namibia, is a political party and former independence movement in Namibia. Omuthiyagwiipundi Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. It had 21,884 inhabitants in 2004 and 15,220 registered voters . The constituency contains the settlements of Omuthiya and Iipundi. The area is predominantly rural. Politics Omuthiyagwiipundi constituency is traditionally a stronghold of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) party. Each of the 14 regions of Namibia is further subdivided into electoral constituencies. The size of the constituencies varies with the size and population of each region. There are currently 121 constituencies in Namibia. The most populous constituency according to the 2011 census was Rundu Urban in the Kavango West region with 63,431 people; the least populous was Okatyali in the Oshana region with 3,187 people. The administrative division of Namibia is tabled by ''Delimitation Commissions'' and accepted or declined by the National Assembly. In 1992, the First Delimitation Commission chaired by Judge President Johan Strydom determined the number of constituencies to be 95. Since then, every Delimitation Commission has increased this number to accommodate population growth.
