''Needlessly and Causelessly'' (Persian: بیخود و بیجهت, romanized: Bikhodo Bi Jehat) is a 2012 Iranian drama film directed, written and produced by Abdolreza Kahani. The film screened for the first time at the 30th Fajr Film Festival. The film was generally praised for its acting and ensemble cast, with Attaran, Bahram, Javaherian and Mehranfar being singled out for praise. Premise two couples are stuck in a house together. one of the couples are going to host a wedding party at the house tonight but the other couple are still there with their boxes and stuff. Abdolreza Kahani
Abdolreza Kahani ( fa, عبدالرضا کاهانی; born 22 December 1973) is an Iranian filmmaker. He made his first short film, The Smile in 1988. He made his first feature film, Dance with the Moon in 2003. In 2009, Kahani's film ''Twenty'' won the Special Jury Prize and the Prize of Ecumenical Jury at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film observes a small band of employees trying to save a depressed Iranian banquet hall which the owner has decided to close in 20 days. The Iranian toman ( fa, تومان, tūmân, pronounced ; from Mongolian ''tümen'' "unit of ten thousand", see the unit called tumen) is a superunit of the official currency of Iran, the rial. One toman is equivalent to 10,000 rials. Although the rial is the official currency, Iranians use the toman in everyday life. Originally, the toman consisted of 10,000 dinars.
