Nawal Meniker (born 9 December 1997) is a French track and field athlete who competes in the high jump. Career She won the silver medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing in 2014, behind Yuliya Levchenko. She won the silver medal behind Morgan Lake in Eskilstuna at the 2015 European Athletics Junior Championships. She began to be coached by Mickaël Hanany, based in El Paso, Texas in 2022. Meniker cleared a personal best indoors height of 1.92m in Aubiére, in February 2023. She then cleared a height of 1.93 outdoors in Tucson, Arizona in April 2023. She won high jump in Division I at the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships in Silesia in June 2023 with a clearance of 1.92 metres. 2023 World Athletics Championships – Women's High Jump
The women's high jump at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest on 25 and 27 August 2023. Summary In the qualifying round, 19 women cleared 1.89m. That was too many to take to the final, so they went up to 1.92m. Only eight were able to clear 1.92m, so they counted back to the next tie-breaker at 1.89m, with a clean round and one miss at 1.89m being the difference. Had they not cleared 1.92m, two women would not have been in the final. Still, 15 advanced. In the final, eight managed to clear 1.94m. 2023 European Athletics Team Championships
The 2023 European Athletics Team Championships (ETC) in athletics will be held in Stadion Śląski in June 2023. The event was first planned to be held in Madrid, but after European Athletics and European Olympic Committee reached to an agreement, the event was added to the 2023 European Games programme and moved to Poland. Madrid will host the 2025 ETC.
