Navan O'Mahony's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Navan in County Meath, Ireland. The club competes in Meath competitions. With 20 Senior Football wins they are the most successful football club in Meath. The club has also won 2 Senior Hurling Championships placing them in the top 15 most successful hurling sides in the county. History The idea of forming a new Gaelic football club in Navan was first mooted during a late evening discussion at the house of the late Peter Hughes, Rathaldron, Navan, with co-founders, the late Eddie Duignan and Jack Callaghan spearheading the move. The house of the late Peter Hughes was a regular haunt for local neighbours. An impromptu meeting was called for the purpose of forming the new club but just nine men turned up for this meeting. Páirc Tailteann
Páirc Tailteann () is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA stadium in Navan, County Meath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is the home of the Meath GAA, Meath Gaelic football and Hurling teams. The ground has had a capacity of between 30,000 and 33,000, but following a safety audit in 2011 the GAA reduced the authorized capacity to 10,000. This was later upped to 17,000. The county board in 2012 announced plans to refurbish the grounds. In 2013 Meath county board introduced a ticket system The name "Tailteann" alludes to the Tailteann Games (ancient), Tailteann Games, an ancient Gaelic festival held in Teltown () between Navan and Kells. This was St. Michael's first year ever as a senior club after claiming the 1989 Meath Intermediate Football Championship title. Summerhill were the defending champions after they defeated Seneschalstown in the previous years final, however in this year's campaign they failed to progress past the group phase. Clann na nGael is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathcairn / Athboy, in County Meath, Ireland. The club was founded in 2002, combining the two former GAA teams of O'Growney Club Athboy (a hurling and football club), and An Ghaeltacht Rath Cairn (football-only club). The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams. It competes in Meath GAA competitions. The club takes part in the annual Peile na Gaelige also. 1956 Meath Intermediate Football Championship
The 1956 Meath Intermediate Football Championship is the 30th edition of the Meath GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for intermediate graded teams in County Meath, Ireland. The tournament consists of 12 teams. The championship format consists of a group stage before progressing to a knock-out stage. Fordstown were regraded from the 1955 S.F.C. At the end of the season Ballinabrackey, Clonard, Curraha and Kilcloon all applied to be regraded to the 1957 J.A.F.C. Dunshaughlin (Intermediate finalists this season) decided not to field a team in either the 1957 S.F.C. or I.F.C. They did enter a team in the Meath J.F.C. Eastern Division in 1957. On 14 October 1956, Navan O'Mahonys 'B' claimed their 1st Intermediate championship title (for the club as a whole) when they defeated Dunshaughlin 3-6 to 0-5 in the final replay at Trim.
