Naughty, Naughty (1974 Film)
''Naughty! Naughty!'' (Chinese: 綽頭狀元) is a 1974 Cantonese-language comedy film directed by Lo Wei. It stars Sam Hui as a young con-man. The movie features Hui singing lyricist James Wong's song 《一水隔天涯》. Plot Wu Te-chuan, a young man, is penniless and he is a conman. He is about to be thrown out of a Macau hotel, but he gets help from Hsiao Yen, a kind-hearted hotel maid. He had to flee to Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, he helped Hsin, a painter, by convincing him that his paintings will sell if he pretends to be dead. Both Wu and Hsin teamed up and engaged in con games, gambling and sex, but the ring enforcers caught up to them. After Wu falls in love with Hsiao Yen, he wanted to turn his life around. Lo Wei
Lo Wei ( 12 December 1918 – 20 January 1996) was a Hong Kong film director and film actor best known for launching the martial arts film careers of both Bruce Lee, in ''The Big Boss'' and ''Fist of Fury'', and Jackie Chan, in ''New Fist of Fury''. Career Lo began his entertainment career as an actor in the Second World War. He moved to Hong Kong in 1948. During the 1950's Lo became a popular matinee idol. After Lee's death it was Lo who gave Jackie Chan his first shot at the big time as part of the wave of Bruceploitation. Lo is said to have been linked with Chinese organized crime, the Triads. Lo ran the production company "Lo Wei Motion Picture Company", which operated until 1977-78 due to heavy cost-cutting measures as a result of Jackie Chan signing a deal with Golden Harvest. Tony Liu Tian-jue (born 7 February 1952) is a Hong Kong actor and martial artist. He is often credited by his Cantonese stage name Lau Wing. Liu is best known for starring in many Hong Kong martial arts films, especially in the 1970s and 1980s. He has also acted in some television series. Early life Liu was born in 1952 in Hong Kong. James Tien (born 28 May 1942) is a Hong Kong actor. He appeared in almost 70 films, primarily in Hong Kong action cinema, including roles in the films of martial arts stars including Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. He often played villains or supporting roles. He retired from the Hong Kong film industry in 1996.
