Naturalness (physics)
In physics, naturalness is the aesthetic property that the dimensionless ratios between free parameters or physical constants appearing in a physical theory should take values "of order 1" and that free parameters are not fine-tuned. That is, a natural theory would have parameter ratios with values like 2.34 rather than 234000 or 0.000234. The requirement that satisfactory theories should be "natural" in this sense is a current of thought initiated around the 1960s in particle physics. It is a criterion that arises from the seeming non-naturalness of the standard model and the broader topics of the hierarchy problem, fine-tuning, and the anthropic principle. However it does tend to suggest a possible area of weakness or future development for current theories such as the Standard Model, where some parameters vary by many orders of magnitude, and which require extensive "fine-tuning" of their current values of the models concerned. Naturalness (philosophy)
In philosophy, naturalism is the idea or belief that only natural laws and forces (as opposed to supernatural ones) operate in the universe. According to philosopher Steven Lockwood, naturalism can be separated into an ontological sense and a methodological sense. "Ontological" refers to ontology, the philosophical study of what exists. On an ontological level, philosophers often treat naturalism as equivalent to materialism. For example, philosopher Paul Kurtz argues that nature is best accounted for by reference to material principles. These principles include mass, energy, and other physical and chemical properties accepted by the scientific community. Further, this sense of naturalism holds that spirits, deities, and ghosts are not real and that there is no " purpose" in nature. Naturalness (Dal Shabet EP)
Naturalness is the ninth EP by South Korean girl group, Dal Shabet. The EP consists of six songs and one instrumental. It marked their first release as a four-member group since the departure of members Jiyul and Gaeun in early December 2015. It was released on January 5, 2016, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the group. Background and release On December 21, 2015, Happy Face Entertainment release a teaser image featuring the release date of the upcoming album, and confirming the title of the EP to be ''Naturalness''. On December 24 were released two teaser images featuring members Serri and Woohee, meanwhile on December 25 images of members Ayoung and Subin were released. On December 28 it was released the full track list on their official Twitter account. Ziran
Ziran or tzu-jan is a key concept in Daoism that literally means "of its own; by itself" and thus "naturally; natural; spontaneously; freely; in the course of events; of course; doubtlessly". This Chinese word is a two-character compound of ''zi'' () "nose; self; oneself; from; since" and ''ran'' () "right; correct; so; yes", which is used as a ''-ran'' suffix marking adjectives or adverbs (roughly corresponding to English ''-ly''). In Chinese culture, the nose (or zi) is a common metaphor for a person's point of view. Origin The word 'ziran' first occurs in the ''Daodejing'' (17, 23, 25, 51, 64) and refers to the structure of Dao, which cannot be referred back to anything else.
